Water heater. Cumulative And Flowing Type.

A huge number of water heaters are on the market. How to choose and how to install should help specialists, but for general familiarization it is necessary to know:

Classification of water heaters.

All water heaters can be divided as follows:

1) by the method of water heating: for storage (gas, electric, indirect heating) and flow (gas and electric columns)

2) the type of energy source - for electric and gas

The storage water heater has a main internal tank, in which the process of heating the water itself takes place. The water is heated to 70-90 degrees, and then the necessary temperature is maintained with the aid of a thermostat. Most of the storage electric water heaters are mounted in a horizontal or vertical position on the wall with the help of brackets. The electric water heater of the storage type is a container with an electric heating element (TEN) inside and an outer casing from the outside. The thermostat controls the operation of the heating elements. Gas accumulators are similar in principle to cumulative storage, but instead of electricity, natural gas is used as heating, which burns in the combustion chamber and transfers heat to the water in the tank.

The following manufacturers of storage water heaters are on the market: AEG, BOSCH, thermex, Electrolux, timberk, Oso, Evan and others.

The flow- through water heater works to heat the flow of water flowing through the heat exchanger. As a rule, these are electric or gas heaters (or in common people - gas columns). A feature of this type of heater is that they work only during the consumption of hot water, which significantly increases their economy. But this also puts high demands on the power of the device, because in a short time of water flow it is necessary to heat it to the required temperature.

For hot water supply of small country houses, it is possible to use an indirect heating boiler (this is a system from a sealed insulated tank with an integrated heat exchanger). The principle of its operation is based on the transfer of heat from the coolant through the internal heat exchanger to the heating medium of the heating system. Due to the installation of the heat exchanger along the entire height of the tank, the water is warmed evenly in the boiler. External thermal insulation of the tank allows to avoid excessive heat losses to the external environment, and thereby increase the efficiency of the heating system as a whole.

To date, the most popular water heaters of the flow type are BOSCH, Stiebel Eltron, AEG.

Buy water heating equipment best in specialized stores, when choosing a device, you need to pay attention to the country of production, the terms of the guarantee, the availability of authorized service centers. Among all the choices, it is better to look towards European or Russian water heaters and beat Chinese producers, whose quality is much inferior.
