Wallets with your own hands, or a gift from something that has not been thrown away

A gift for any holiday can be done by yourself. This can be a postcard in the technique of scrapbooking, and ordinary wallets, made by oneself. And for the latter you will need only the remains of fabric and lightning, as well as some free time and a sewing machine. Set up? Then we represent: "The purse itself" (master class).

Materials

Purses with their own hands are made of leather and leatherette, but a dense fabric also fits. So, you will need:

• 2 pieces of fabric 27 x 17 cm for the front;
• 2 pieces of fabric 27 x 17 cm for the wrong part;
• 2 pieces of doublet to compact the facial tissue;
• scissors;
• Pins;
• Lightning to the size of your wallet;
• sewing machine.

You can do without a sewing machine, if you do not see the difficulty in sewing on your hands. Lightning should be taken in the color of the main fabric. The lining fabric should also be cotton and blend in color with the base. Such wallets with their own hands can be sewn even from old jeans. This is a good practice, and a second life for denim.

Begin to sew

Here everything is quite simple. According to the described principle, you can sew a lot of useful things, about which you will read in the last section.

1. To begin with, on the pin, pin the front and back portions to the zipper. Do this as neatly as possible, because the appearance of the purse depends on it in the future.
2. Sew the parts between each other on the machine, taking out pins in the course of work.
3. You can make a double line - as close to the lightning and at a distance of 5 mm. This is necessary for strength, because you will use the lock often.
4. Now fold the purse in half with a zipper, open it a little, then turn the purse.
5. Stitch the three sides of the wallet 1 cm from the edge. Start sewing from the end of the zipper to its very base.
6. Trim off excess fabric and turn out the purse.

More versions of original gifts

Similarly, but in dark colors you can make a purse for men with their own hands. And if you give the product a round shape and add a merry mug-applique from felt and fleece, you will receive an original children's gift. Let your child accustom himself to independence with such a cheerful and unusual purse. In the same way, you can sew a housekeeper or a passport cover. And there you will already go to clutches and bags. Master the sewing skill and please your beloved.

More complex option

As far as you can see in this simplest version, you will look ugly wrong side of your wallet. There will be a seam, turned inside. This can be avoided if you spend a little more time at the typewriter. For this to lightning, you first need to sew the front part, and then, turning the zipper, - purl. Do this in such a way that the lightning is in the middle of the two tissues.

Now, by spending the wallet, you sew up the facial tissue separately, and in the purl hole leave a small hole. Through this hole you will need to turn out the finished product. Enough and five centimeters. Later you sew it by hand with secret stitches. Purses, sewn by their own hands for this type, will look more professional and accurate. Perhaps, you will not just give them to all those close to you, but sell them to those who appreciate manual work.
