Violinist Vadim Repin: biography and photos

Mankind does not know so many geeks whose abilities to active age would not fade. They are usually full of music, and art, and mathematical schools, but, as they say, "in the finals" come out one. This is Vadim Repin. The Novosibirsk young violinist who conquered the world did not stop in his development, he was not lost among the highest names of musical modernity.

The best violinist

He began swiftly and brilliantly. Six years after he first held a bow over the strings, Vadim Repin won the Wieniawski International Competition in Lublin, receiving a gold medal. Then he was eleven. And at fourteen he already toured the world: Helsinki, Berlin, Munich, Tokyo ...

At fifteen, Vadim played in New York, at Carnegie Hall. At seventeen, he won the International Competition in Brussels - one of the most prestigious. And then he became the youngest winner in the history of this competition. The Queen of Belgium was so touched by his game that he gave him citizenship. Now Vadim Repin can live freely in this country too. The great musician of the twentieth century I. Menukhin called the young violinist the most perfect of all he heard, the best of all living now.

Take-off is not over

Since then, the best orchestras of the world are honored to play one music with such a virtuoso as Vadim Repin. Performances have taken place with the Berlin, Boston, Cleveland and Chicago orchestras, with "La Scala" and the Philharmonic Orchestras of New York, Los Angeles and Amsterdam. Now the premiums that Vadim Repin has ever received are no longer counted. Participating in the most famous and prestigious festivals, he almost always took the biggest awards.

Musical festivals in the world are held various. Historical, such as the Salzburg, can not be missed, and everyone understands why. There are still very popular, such as Proms, there to play interesting and useful. And there are such atmospheric, informal, full of communication, as, for example, the Swiss in Verbier, not to visit which means to leave yourself without a sweet. So thinks Vadim Repin. His biography is replenished with new and new facts: how many claims, so many victories.

Concerts

Now he has about a hundred concerts a year at the best venues in the world. His partners on the stage are always brilliant: Yuri Bashmet, Marta Argerich, Nikolai Lugansky, Mikhail Pletnyov, Boris Berezovsky, Yevgeny Kisin ... It's simply impossible to list them all. Most importantly, Vadim Repin, a violinist from God, is still gaining ground, and his take-off is not over. Modern life is incredibly accelerating, and this race is difficult to resist, but it is necessary.

The musician must be restored after each concert, which takes a lot of energy and almost all mental powers. Concert plans for professionals such as Vadim Repin - a violinist, are compiled for several years ahead and only in the most exceptional cases change. The reason can be the anniversary of one of the friends-musicians, then one hundred concerts a year are added one more. But Vadim does not have one friend among his colleagues. Yes, and other situations quite often are such that it is absolutely necessary to play additionally. Where does the force for such an intense concert schedule Vadim Repin take?

The state of happiness

When a person is happy, he can also turn mountains. And the reasons for the elevated emotional state are very significant since Vadim Repin and Svetlana Zakharova got married . Daughter (photos of this little happiness will not, parents protect the girl from prying eyes) made the creative energy of the performer simply immense. And, of course, the music itself inspires and gives strength.

Vadim Repin at his concerts plays only those works that do not select, but give joy, fuel their power due to the pleasure they received from their performance. For example, he always enthusiastically plays Brahms and himself notes that every note in the works of this composer leads him into ecstasy. Very fond of violinist romantic style in music and many works of such a plan has in the repertoire. And from the new, modern, he included in concert programs a violin concert - an amazing piece written by James Macmillan especially for Vadim Repin.

School of Music

Never in his family did he have a single musician, and suddenly a child prodigy appeared, Vadim Repin, a violinist. His biography as a musician began in five years, when on August 31 the kid was brought to music school. He wanted percussion instruments or a button accordion. But it turned out that it was already too late, all the places at these offices were occupied. They gave Vadim a violin in his hand and said that if he did not like it, he would have to come early, but next year.

The violin fell in love with the boy to such an extent that the parents revised their plans for the rest of their lives. Vadim's father was an artist-designer, and my mother was a nurse. Later, the pope earned a living, and my mother gave herself entirely to her son's talent and support. She had absolutely no musical education and studied simultaneously with Vadim, listening to him and delving into the very essence. Vadim highly values this full maternal self-sacrifice, especially since it was Mother who noticed that the little son cleanly, accurately and quickly selects the songs he heard on any instrument.

After the first contest

When the eleven-year-old Vadim received almost all the prizes of the Wieniawski Competition (and the main one - the first, and in several groups, several distinctions, from the jury and the public), the question arose of what to do next, how to develop success? The wise teacher - the most famous today and almost unknown then Zahar Bron, prepared Vadim for the appointment with Tikhon Khrennikov. The boy learned a difficult violin concert in two weeks to please this wonderful composer.

Starry disease began nowhere and there was no time - an eleven-year-old violinist practiced more than six hours a day with his own instrument. And my mother harshly suppressed any attempts to become proud. And Tikhon Khrennikov very much fell in love with Vadim Repin, as well as his pupil Maxim Vengerov. Often there were author's evenings of the composer, where the boys performed together with Zhenya Kisin - the child prodigy pianist. Happy and carefree time!

Violins

Vadim was lucky with the concert violin made by the extremely talented Novosibirsk master Mikhail Defler, but when Tikhon Khrennikov insisted in the Ministry of Culture that this boy deserves the best instrument in the world, Stradivari violin was issued to him from the state collection. The horizons in front of the young talent opened just beyond the bounds.

Children's, three-quarter (the only one in the world, by the way), it sounded like a full-fledged adult. And three years later, again due to the troubles of Tikhon Nikolayevich, Vadim Repin was already playing on the full Stradivarius - Stradivarius Veniavsky. Almost all the famous violins have names, because each has his own biography. This tool used himself Venyavsky, when he worked at the Mariinsky Theater.

But then, growing up, Vadim preferred Guarneri, because in the instruments of the Stradivari school there is practically nothing earthly, they are impeccable, they sing in the clouds with divine voices. That is, these violins somehow set the player the rules of the game, which he is not able to break. Guarneri made his instruments more philosophical: they, too, with a "sky-high" beautiful sound, but also terrestrial, "ugly" sound able, do not resist when it is needed. And often it is just necessary, especially if you play modern music, which Vadim has in his repertoire a lot.

Three generations

It was not the first time in 2015 that the Trans-Siberian art festival took place in Novosibirsk, where three generations of violinists of one school performed, including Zakhar Bron himself and his wonderful pupil Vadim Repin. The photo above clearly shows how much expression, how much energy the performers bring to the stage, the synchronous swing of the bows can be seen - the movement did not stop!

The program included the most masterly of the famous violin plays - Sarasate, Ravel, Paganini ... Behind the conductor's remix of the chamber orchestra was Zakhar Nukhimovich Bron. Played young, still far from eighteen-year-old pupils of this master teacher. Their music astonished the listeners.

The performance of Prokofiev's Sonata in C major for two violins by Vadim Repin and Zakhar Bron was the crowning of this magnificent almost three-hour concert. The audience stood up and did not let go of their favorites for a long time, because they wrote the name of their native city of Novosibirsk on all maps of world culture in the largest letters.
