Unpleasant odor from the mouth. Why does it appear, how can you get rid of it?

Halitosis ( bad breath) causes can be very different. However, despite the provoked factors, the state has a fairly negative impact on human life, creating, in particular, difficulties in communication. This is especially true for children. Unpleasant odor from the mouth of a child can cause ridicule of him, which affects his mental state.

Specialists identify several of the most common factors that cause halitosis.

Unpleasant odor from the mouth can be associated with diseases of the digestive tract (peptic ulcer, gastritis). There is also a pathology in which there is no complete closure of the esophageal sphincter, so that unpleasant odors enter the oral cavity through the esophagus from the stomach.

The condition can be provoked by intestinal diseases (colitis, enteritis and others). One of the most effective is rinsing the mouth with a solution of hydrogen peroxide. To prepare the composition, mix three or four tablespoons (tea) of 3% peroxide with a glass of water. Rinsing is carried out twice-thrice a day. Thus, the death of putrefactive bacteria under the influence of active oxygen occurs. It is allowed to use hydroperite (tableted form of hydrogen peroxide).

Useful is the needles of Siberian cedar (you can replace it with fir, pine or larch), especially with diseases of the gums and mouth. It is recommended to chew fresh needles, carefully chopping with teeth and tongue. As a result, a very liquid gruel should be obtained (it should not be swallowed). Thus, the mouth cavity is disinfected by phytoncides of needles. In addition, this procedure is an effective massage and helps to cleanse the mouth of food and microbes.

With reduced salivation (dry mouth), accompanied by an unpleasant odor, it is recommended to chew a slice of lemon. The product eliminates halitosis for the nearest hour and a half. In addition to the ability to enhance salivation, the lemon is an excellent immunostimulating agent, since it saturates the body with ascorbic acid.

To reduce the intensity of the unpleasant odor, experts recommend that you include more acid fruits (apples, oranges) in the diet.

It is known that sugar supports the development of putrefactive microorganisms, while honey has antibacterial properties. Experts recommend chewing propolis more often, taking honey for food. These products can permanently rid of halitosis.

There are also medicinal herbs, the rinsing of which helps to cope with an unpleasant odor. Such plants, in particular, include yarrow, wormwood, tansy.
