Types of production organization

The organization of production activities at the enterprise is the key factor that determines the competitiveness in the market. The process of production can be organized at the enterprise in various ways.

Regardless of the type of production enterprise, it includes various units. Their general structure is a set of various divisions and divisions, including production (shops, plots, etc.), management departments and services that take part in the production process.

All production departments in accordance with the direction of activity are conditionally divided into three groups:

Single production is characterized by a piece production of a variety of products, often using extremely limited demand or a narrow number of potential buyers for this type of product. For example, the production of space industry equipment is limited and manufactured in small quantities. This is due to the fact that this type of product does not have mass demand, and secondly, it is very expensive. Orders for such products are carried out mainly on the basis of state order in accordance with the need for scientific institutions or on the order of transnational companies. One of the varieties of this type is individual production. This production is formed for the production of products on the basis of an individual order.

On a mass production, products of a wide range of products are produced in certain series. Simply put, this is the release of certain products that are manufactured over a long period of time, depending on whether they are in stock or on the basis of orders received.

For mass production is characterized by a short period of production, limited range and high degree of uniformity, manufactured goods in very large volumes. Such a production is typical for mass consumption products and is intended for a wide range of customers, and is aimed at meeting the demand of the society. This type of production is characteristic for the food, cosmetic, pharmaceutical and other similar industries. The volumes of manufacturing of such types of goods are connected with the constant demand for them.

For a mixed type of production is characterized by a combination of large-scale manufacturing of products and mass production in order to maximize the approximation of manufactured products to a potential consumer by meeting a certain demand.
