ZAO Mytishchi Instrument-Making Plant: history, production, products

Closed Joint-Stock Company "Mytischinsky Instrument-Making Plant" is one of the largest domestic enterprises that produces auto repair equipment. The customers of the products are the Ministry for Emergency Situations, housing and communal services, geological exploration services, special enterprises, organizations operating in remote regions, in the Far North.

Historical reference

In 1928, the government commissioned the organization of specialized workshops for the repair of complex metal structures. The first site of the newly formed enterprise "Centrospetsstroy" was located in the capital. In 1939, as Moscow expanded, production was moved to the city of Mytischi.

During the war, the repair and mechanical plant carried out defense orders, fuel equipment was assembled, and maintenance of tractors, cars, and motors was carried out. After improving the situation on the fronts, the enterprise was commissioned to manufacture complex geophysical equipment. The country badly needed resources, especially in hydrocarbon raw materials and ores of various metals.

In 1949, RMZ was renamed into the Mytishchi Instrument Making Plant. It was a structural subdivision of the Soyuzgeoneftepribor trust. Until the mid-80's, the plant was a monopolist in the production of particularly complex geodetic instruments, logging and electrical exploration laboratories, and search and prospecting stations. The products widely used microelectronic components and computer facilities.

According to the laws of the market

After gaining independence, the Mytishchi Instrument-Making Plant was incorporated. The range of products has changed. Contrary to fears, the enterprise developed quite dynamically. Since 1997, isothermal bodies have been produced for regions with a complex weather regime.

In 2000, MPZ entered the top-1000 of the best Russian manufacturers. After the modernization in 2004 the plant entered the first hundred of the best organizations of the country. The next three years the production expanded, advanced design methods were introduced, a powerful scientific and design school was created. Automotive technician, produced at the enterprise, willingly acquire state and commercial organizations. Today the city of Mytischi is a large industrial center, and the instrument-making plant occupies an important place in the economy of the region.

Designing

Initially, special equipment is born on the computers of engineers. Each modification is created from scratch for the needs of specific customers. First, the most elaborate 3D model is designed. Then a prototype is made in metal and plastic, which passes a set of tests. Only after this, the technique goes into small-scale production.

In the workshop for the production of bodies from modern materials, five-layer sealed sandwich panels are made. They become the basic element of a multifunctional body designed for certain tasks.

Production

Every day new special purpose cars leave the gates of ZAO MPZ. The technical process of their manufacture is worked out to the smallest detail: from the vacuum section of the panels of the workpiece on the telpher are fed to the milling section. A special machine tool panels are processed to the desired geometric dimensions, cutting out technological holes.

Further details are delivered to the assembly site, where a durable, durable body is assembled from the sandwich panels. Installed doors, windows, stairs, boxes, partitions (if required). The last stage is equipment and painting.
