Types of people's characters and the useful use of each of them

Classification of temperament, made two and a half thousand years ago by Hippocrates, became the alphabet of all modern psychologists. The ability to express a person, gesture, and sometimes a physique to predict a person's possible reaction to a particular situation is very important for any manager or cadre. Possession of this skill allows you to correctly allocate responsibilities in the team, assigning work to each according to his abilities.

The merit of Hippocrates is that he identified the main types of people's characters. There are four of them, in pure, refined form, each of them is extremely rare, but some usually prevail, influencing the selective ability to work in relation to the occupation and determining the psychological microclimate.

The most pleasant "in all respects" members of the collective are sanguine. At first glance, their dignity is so high that such people can just admire. Some leaders sometimes think that other types of people's characters are not needed at all, I want to gather some sanguine people in the team. They are creative, always sprinkle with new ideas, get along with everyone because of natural sociability, benevolent, optimistic, witty, adapt easily to changes and are very energetic. However, looking at the sanguine closely, it is easy to detect its serious shortcomings. The ability to get carried away by a new idea is quite logically combined with the rapid loss of interest to it, and, consequently, the lack of desire to bring the matter to an end. Sanguines are very good as a generator of ideas and performers of the most creative areas of work.

The phlegmaticists seem to be their complete opposite: they are like rabbits, they all do it slowly and gradually. They do not like to talk at all, they rarely gesticulate and, having got used to some way of life, any change in it is perceived as a hostile interference. Such passivity, which at first sight seems like a bad feature, is in fact a very valuable quality. The recklessness of the phlegmatic and his methodical work capacity can be found very good use for painstaking work, when other types of characters of people are unlikely to fit. He can be a rare loafer, but can become a true hard worker, everything depends on the ability of the leader to correctly set the task.

Melancholics seem not very successful acquisition for the team. They combine slowness with unbalance and quick temper, and for all their irritability they are usually very lazy. Melancholika is easy to offend, completely unwilling. Initiatives - zero, but perekalamutit his grumbling entire team for him - a couple of trifles. But you must not rush to get rid of such an employee. Melancholics are very talented and, when they are appreciated, can work miracles. These are not dray horses, but trotters, they just need to be able to manage.

Choleric people are extremely energetic and active, they can not be imagined anywhere from the edge, and not in the thick of events. The ability to quickly navigate in the environment and make a decision, albeit not always optimal, perseverance and the will to bring any case to the end are combined with aggressiveness and quick temper, and self-confidence with self-confidence. The mood changes very often. Choleric people do not know how to restrain themselves, but quickly leave after an outburst of anger. As a rule, subordinates of such superiors love, if they are smart, and hate, if not. And such, alas, happens, the choleric fool is the most terrible head.

These are the main types of people's characters. Among them there are no bad and good, in nature everything is rational. It just happens that a person is not in his place, and most often from this he himself first of all suffers.

Modern psychiatry considers the types of character accentuation according to the theory of the German professor Karl Leongard, but the basis of this classification is the a priori pathology of any person. Despite the vagueness of the border separating sick people from healthy people, I really want to believe that most of the people around us are still normal.
