Traffic rules, circular traffic. Who is in charge? How to prioritize

Having learned to drive around the motor-racing tracks and around the house, everyone leaves for the road with the hope of safe and comfortable traffic on the roads. But without knowledge of the rules of motion it is almost impossible, especially at intersections.

The first thing that has to be determined in a real way quickly and accurately: who is the leader, who has the priority on what road, and then immediately assess their rights to the direction, speed and movement.

SDA: circular motion. Who is the main

The rules of the road say that the roundabout intersects practically no different from any other intersection of roads.

At the intersections, traffic rules are given attention, but their importance is equivalent to direct road sections and different rounding variants on them. Instructors often say that if you look at the circle from above and straighten it, it will be the same straight road with turns.

From any point of view, it is road signs that change the priority status of road users that are of primary importance on any road. Particularly prescribed in the SDA circular motion. Who is the main one, is determined by road signs 4.3, 2.4, 2.5, plate 8.13.

Not much you need to know to right:

  • Enter the circle;
  • Drive through it (and this is again a direct road);
  • Leave the circle in the right direction.

The simplest and first rule is to move from the rightmost to the far right, unless signs or road markings indicate otherwise. Move only on its own band and in time to show only the right turn. On a circle only for rebuilding on a strip to the left it is necessary to show the left turn. Only from the right lane with the right turn to leave the circle, if signs and road markings do not determine a different version of the traffic.

In the most dangerous sections of the roadway, traffic signs are necessarily repeated - this is an additional confirmation that of two important notions of traffic rules: "circular traffic", "who is the main", the emphasis is on the latter.

Roundabout

As a general rule, the intersection is the intersection of two roads. When one of them is the main one, the question of priority is obvious. When equivalent roads intersect, the priority is determined by the standard formula: "interference on the right, and it is always right." The presence of road signs changes the priority.

In the PDP, circular motion, when it is a circular intersection, is determined by the symbol 4.3 "Circular motion". At this intersection of roads there is always an islet, and the traffic is impossible. Both the road and the ring can have several bands.

As a general rule, the entrance to the circular traffic is performed only to the right, only from the rightmost lane of the road to the extreme right of the ring. Road markings may indicate other traffic options.

Usually, a sign 8.13 "Direction of the main road" and signs 2.4 and 2.5 are set before the roundabout.

Thus, in the overwhelming majority of cases it is difficult to make a mistake in determining the priority, since traffic rules on the ring are regulated in full. Despite this, there are many nuances.

Psychological aspects of priority

Traffic along the usual route rarely causes difficulties, however, as in any other situation, there is always a chance to face a difficult choice. The road, like an airliner, like an ocean ship, like any other massive structure, harbors the power of brutal objectivity - it does not forgive mistakes, but always provides enough options for safe traffic.

One should never count on the fact that all road users are in a balanced state, not only possessing qualitative knowledge of traffic rules, but also intend to follow them. "Departure" for the conflict, and not for the road - today is too frequent a problem.

Therefore, it is always important to know how circular motion is described in the SDA . Who is in charge? The new rules are clearly told. Here are just old habits that are too strong for experienced drivers to this day, can be a problem for a beginner who turns out to be right, especially in a difficult situation on the ring.

Choosing a route, determining the behavior of other participants in the movement, you should strictly follow the rules and expect that others do the same, but you never need to ignore the probability of an unforeseen situation.

The determination of priority in any case in a person rarely causes difficulties. It does not take much time to make the right decision. On the road, the scale of values becomes on wheels, and everything changes significantly.

A strange circular intersection

A roundabout is not something special on the background of other road intersections, but it never hurts to be vigilant and correctly determine the priority.

Such a circle is difficult to notice, here the entry (and not passing by) on the circular movement is carried out in a straight line. It is not always made in the form of a circle. Various tangential variants are found in the most unexpected place. Therefore, it is very important to closely monitor the signs.

Entrance to the roundabout

On the road, you need to take into account all the nuances. In order to safely and comfortably execute the roundabout, first of all, you need to pay attention to traffic signs before the intersection. If there is only a road sign 4.3, it is best to choose the right lane, show the right turn, make sure that the cars on the circle remember that they have priority instead of interference on the right, and boldly drive in. But as soon as the TS on the circle, all the rights are equal to the first crossroads, on which the right one will be right.

If 2.4 or 2.5 is added to the sign, you will have to give way or stop altogether.

If the road before the intersection and on it is divided into lanes for traffic, and there is road markings on them or signs of special regulations hang, then priority and actions should be determined taking this into account.

Passage of the crossroads

One should never forget that the traffic rules along the ring are defined as moving along a straight road. When rebuilding to the lane to the left, you need to show a turn, on the right-hand side - too, but the right turn does not give any right to turn to the right if the car is on the second lane. Even if on the second page there is a road marking permitting a right turn, you should make sure that the car does not go to the right to the right.

An important point: the rules of motion on the ring require you to remember where the main road begins and ends. In cases where this is important, at each entrance there is a proper version of the plate 8.13, which determines the direction of the main road.

Departure from the intersection

As a general rule, it begins by indicating the right turn, done from the right-hand lane to the right lane. If there are signs and marks and there is no interference on the right, you can make a turn from the second and even the third band. Although the third, fourth or more bands on the ring are intended for other purposes.

All the rebuilding on the bands inside the ring is performed in a manner similar to the movement on a straight road, taking into account those moments (usually only the right-hand lane), which places a priority on drivers entering the ring in the place where they have the main road.

Before you move out of the ring not from the right lane, you need to be absolutely sure that no obstacle directly moves to the right.

Have a good trip!

Know the rules and observe them is important and necessary, but after 2010 it is desirable to re-read the section in the traffic rules "Circular motion." Who's in charge on the ring, detail the rules. This is just one paragraph, but many experienced drivers can by habit go, as in the good old days, and this is the creation of an emergency situation.

Just do not take this as a basis. The road is a road, and not in a circular motion here is the case, and certainly not in the new changes in the rules.

SDA need to know and correctly apply, you need to go carefully and carefully, correctly determine priorities. Then the path will be safe and comfortable, and passengers and cargo will be delivered to the right place at the right time.
