Tomato "sevruga" - a yielding Siberian variety

Tomato "sevruga" is a popular tomato variety, which has proved itself in almost all corners of our country. They are successfully cultivated both in traditionally agricultural areas, and in rather severe conditions of Siberia.

A remarkable distinctive feature of tomato "stellate sturgeon" is that their fruits are tied practically in all weather conditions. For vegetable gardeners, these tomatoes liked the fact that they are very unpretentious in growing and grooming, and at the same time have high yields. Tomato "stellate sturgeon" is also called by another name - "pudovik", because this tomato gives so much fruit that their mass often reaches 1 kg. With good care, this plant can bear fruit weighing about 1.5 kg. The average mass is 800-900 g.

Tomato "stellate sturgeon" can be grown with equal success both in unheated greenhouses and in the open air. These tomatoes are medium-sized, because their height rarely exceeds 1.2 m. The average height of the bush is 1 m. The bushes of these tomatoes are large and dense, and their leaves are very similar to potato. This variety is determinant. These plants must necessarily tie to various supports, because heavy fruits will lower the bush to the ground. The average yield of these tomatoes is 5 kg from one specimen.

The tomato "stellate sturgeon" is also remarkable for the fact that its heart-shaped fleshy fruits contain very few seeds. Color of the fruit is bright red. Their taste is simply magnificent (with a light sourness). This variety refers to the universal: tomatoes are equally good both when consumed fresh, and in recycled. They are used for the preparation of salads, various sauces and gravy, the production of tomato juice and other food products.

Tomato "sevriuga" refers to the mid-ripening varieties. From the moment of seed sowing to ripening of the fruit, 110 days pass. The beginning of fruiting under favorable weather conditions can coincide with the fruiting of early-ripening varieties of tomatoes.

The best time for sowing seeds is February-March, since large-bodied varieties require about 80 days to obtain full-grown seedlings. Seedlings appear after sowing after 7 days. When the seedlings are strong, the seedlings are dived. Watering during this period should be moderate.

To obtain ripe fruit in June or July, it is necessary to plant seedlings in greenhouses in mid-May. Before planting seedlings in the open ground, it is quenched, taking out in the afternoon on the balcony or open air. When the seedlings are planted, superphosphate is added to each well. Each bush at a landing deepen and well hills. Such actions contribute to the formation of additional roots, which has a beneficial effect on tomato growth. Landing in the open ground is carried out only after the termination of recurrent frosts.

Tomato "stellate sturgeon" should be fed with nitrogen, phosphorus and potassium fertilizers. Complex fertilizers for tomatoes are quite suitable for this. The best result is a regular feeding every two weeks.

Tomato "sevruga", reviews about which have recently appeared on the Internet, is becoming more and more in demand. This indicates that this variety can be successfully grown not only in the difficult climatic conditions of Siberia, but also in other regions where weather conditions are more suitable for vegetable growing. At the same time, the yield of tomato only increases. The only condition for successful cultivation of this variety in warm climatic conditions is a regular and abundant watering of plants. The variety "sevruga" in recent years is considered one of the most promising among a series of varieties of tomatoes with potato-like tops.
