Correct planting of raspberries - a pledge of a good and stable harvest

An integral part of the greenery on most dachas is a green guest, like raspberries. Thanks to the huge nutritional value, high utility, and also delicious and fragrant berries, this garden culture is grown by our compatriots almost everywhere.

However, unfortunately, not all the villagers give raspberries a rich harvest, because there are a number of factors, among which an important role is played by the correct planting of raspberries and filling it with organic fertilizers. We will talk about the planting technology and its varieties.

First of all, you should know some biological features of this plant, due to which each gardener can already independently guess about these or other ways of growing raspberries. The root system of this berry bushes is superficial, therefore, it takes all the nutrients from the soil at a depth of 10-15 cm. For this reason, raspberry planting is usually done in pits or trenches that dig at a depth of about 30 cm, after which there is found humus or organic Remnants. Recently, many gardeners have increasingly come to the conclusion that it is useful to use warm beds to grow almost all garden crops, including raspberries . In order to make them, a trench breaks out along the entire length of the row, and then all unnecessary organic remains of nitrogen and carbon composition are stored in it, after which all this is filled up with earth and raspberry planting is made. Thanks to this, for several years there will be a composting process, as a result of which useful substances will be formed that feed the roots of our berry bushes. Therefore planting raspberries in a warm garden is the main guarantee of a successful harvest, because all our plants will be strong and strong.

Most varieties of this useful plant throughout the growing season strongly stretch their shoots, so it is best to use a stretched trellis for their maintenance. The biological feature of raspberries is that the fruiting twigs are formed in it on last year's shoots, while those that grow now will bear fruit for the next year.

You can plant plants for their reproduction in spring and autumn, and each season has its advantages and disadvantages. Trenching raspberry planting in autumn ensures that, from the earliest spring, the root system of raspberries will begin to develop and grow stronger, as the sap move will come earlier than when planting in the spring. In addition, in the autumn you are guaranteed to buy quality seedlings, but in the spring is very likely to acquire weak and frozen plants. However, planting raspberries in autumn carries the threat of freezing of newly planted shrubs, as they often suffer from severe frosts.

Planting raspberries in spring eliminates the threat of frost, however, as already noted, the sap movement is much later, and there is a risk of acquiring weak seedlings. However, here, nevertheless, there is the most rational solution that many gardeners use when planting plants. The seedlings are bought from autumn, after which they are buried at an incline from the south side and covered with some organic material (leaves, sawdust, and so on). In early spring they are unearthed and transplanted into previously prepared trenches. As a result, we get healthy and strong seedlings, which avoid the threat of winter freezing of the aboveground and underground parts of the plant.

In conclusion, it should be stressed once again that planting raspberries is an important stage in the life of the plant, therefore, without fail, fill the planting pit with organic and mineral fertilizers, because in this way you will provide the seedlings with a full range of nutrients for several years in advance. And this is the guarantee of a good and stable harvest!
