Tomato 'Nastenka' is a popular early-ripening variety

Tomato "Nastenka" is loved by truck farmers for the fact that it is an early-ripening variety, providing their families with ripe fruits already at the very beginning of summer. From the moment of seed sowing to the ripening of the first fruits, only 80 days pass. Such precocity brought these tomatoes a special popularity. This variety is remarkable in that it is able to bear fruit practically under any weather conditions. Tomatoes "Nastenka" with equal success can be cultivated both in greenhouses under a film, and on the open ground areas.

Shrubs of this variety have a compact form. In open ground, they rarely grow above 70 cm, although in greenhouse conditions they often reach 90 cm. Nastenka is also attractive because it eliminates the need to plant a plant during its growth. Bushes of this tomato are upright, stamping, do not need additional supports. This variety is semi-determinant. Their first inflorescence appears over 9-12 leaves of the main shoot. On the lateral shoots, the inflorescences are located above the 3-5 leaves. Later, the formation of the first inflorescences determines a later period of fruit ripening. Subsequent inflorescences are located through the next 2-3 leaves. The whole bush fruits evenly throughout the growing season. The main stem stops growing after 10-12 inflorescences are formed. This stamping variety is distinguished by very stable, strongly leafy, irregular and weakly branching stems. It has short internodes and dark green leaves with corrugated edges.

Tomato "Nastenka" is a highly productive variety. In one bush, there can be a lot of ovaries, so as you mature, you should regularly collect ripe fruits, thereby allowing you to ripen the next faster. A distinctive feature of these tomatoes is their increased resistance to many diseases, and especially to late blight.

Fruits, which gives a variety of tomato "Nastenka", have a round-elongated shape, very similar to the shape of sweet pepper. The color of the fruit is very beautiful pink. They are fleshy, juicy, and have excellent taste qualities and a rather large mass - up to 300 g. With good care, the mass of fruits considerably increases, so it often reaches 400 g. They are resistant to cracking. It is believed that the tomato "Nastenka" is the best in taste qualities from all varieties with pink fruits. Most often these tomatoes are used for the preparation of salads and second courses, although they are fully suitable for further processing. From them prepare various sauces, tomato juice and other winter preparations. The smallest fruits are suitable for whole-fruit canning and pickling.

Tomato "Nastenka" is grown in seedlings. Seeding is carried out in February-March. Just a few days later there are friendly shoots that should not be over-watered, as overmoistening can lead to the death of sprouts. At the stage of 2-3 leaves the seedlings are dived. An obligatory condition for planting plants in the open air is their pre-hardening within two weeks. Planting seedlings in greenhouses produce in April, and in open ground - in May. On a square meter plant up to 5-6 bushes. Increased planting density reduces yield and complicates the care of plants. Under favorable weather conditions and care, the first ripe fruits appear in early June.

Tomato "Nastenka", however, like the other varieties of tomatoes, requires constant care. Good results in increasing the yield and extending the fruiting period are provided by regular fertilizing of plants with complex fertilizers, abundant and regular watering, loosening of the soil and removal of dried leaves.
