This couple built a real fairy-tale castle

In the heart of the Fagaras Mountains in Romania is the so-called Valley of the Fairies. It has become an ideal place to create the most environmentally friendly castle in the country.

Thanks to its bizarre design and fantastic charm, it fits very well into the landscape of the valley.

The idea of creating a castle belongs to a married couple - Gabriel and Razran Vasile. Former professional singers left their home in the Romanian capital of Bucharest and went to the Valley of Fairies to fulfill their old dream.

The construction was conducted by architect Ilean Mavrodin for two years. As a result, the building is 100% made of organic materials - straw, clay, wooden decks and sand.

Castle hotel among beautiful scenery

To this day, the so-called Clay Castle in the Valley of Fairies is not only completely built, but completely finished from the inside.

Vasile's spouses plan to use this 10-room building as a small hotel and an organic restaurant. Each room has a separate wood burning fireplace.

Despite the fact that the castle will be officially opened at the end of the year, a lot of tourists come to it every day, wishing to enjoy the views of the Fagaras Mountains. Here, only 24 kilometers from the bustling city of Sibiu, you can relax from the city bustle.

The castle restaurant serves dishes made exclusively from local products.
