The laborious but justifying laying of parquet

Correct, correctly conducted laying of parquet serves as a pledge of its durable operation. Laying parquet is very laborious. The basis of a good floor covering is a level, well prepared floor, in which there are no cracks, holes and other imperfections.

Parquet is a floor covering in the form of planks, most often rectangular. Their dimensions are 1800-2500 mm in length and 130-200 mm in width. The thickness can be up to 25 millimeters. The top layer is made of valuable wood species, for the middle layer is used coniferous, and as the bottom layer is used plywood. The layers are glued together, and the wood layer is placed across the fibers. This makes the parquet board stronger than a solid array, and cheaper to manufacture.

Types of floorboards are the following: single-side, two-way and three-way.

In a single-lane board, the top layer consists of one integral element. Two-lane and three-lane, respectively, consist of two and three laths in two and three rows.

Parquet laying is not a very complicated process, which can be carried out in two ways: by gluing to the base and the so-called "floating" floor. With an area of more than 40 square meters, the latter option is not suitable.

Parquet board is ready immediately after laying and does not require any additional processing.

Parquet laying begins after the completion of the preparatory work. It consists of such stages.

1. Plywood is laid on an even surface. Typically, the thickness of plywood is about 2 centimeters. Well, if it will have waterproofing properties.

2. After the necessary measurements, the plywood is glued to the floor and fixed with dowels. You can not allow the movement of plywood relative to the floor.

3. Plywood is processed by grinding, chip removal and other impurities are removed.

After these preparations, the parquet begins to be laid directly.

First, think about how the pattern should be located and in what direction you should move. In this regard, laying art parquet is a more labor-intensive process.

Next, the dispenser applied glue to the plywood and stacked the slats. For convenience, they are fixed with carnations. To perform this work, some skills are still needed.

After the parquet is laid, it is left for three days, and then the coating is polished. Do this 2-4 times. Coverage is cleared of unevenness, adhered glue and dirt. For this, a grinder is used .

After grinding, the parquet should be filled with zashpatlevat, walk through all the seams and cracks. Finally, remove dust and shavings and cover the surface with a primer. This is done so that the varnish is better kept and the coating is of a better quality. You can treat the parquet with stain.

Recently, lamination of parquet was widely spread. This material is slightly cheaper than parquet, but has many positive properties. It has an increased strength, is resistant to mechanical influences, and the surface pattern can be selected any. Like any parquet, laminated does not like water, so you should avoid pouring it with water.
