The water column in your garden

The apple-tree garden, the flower garden, the summer shower and even the bathhouse - all this draws us beyond the city, especially in the summer, to breathe the air and make some effort on the backyard. Local water supply network in this case is necessary as it is impossible by the way.

Neither cottages, nor botanical gardens, nor separately located land plots can please us with plants without the presence of water. And our task is to equip a simple and convenient water pipe in the form of a network of communications for irrigation. The source of water can serve as a local main, and a reservoir or a natural body of water in the presence of a pump.

Providing water to every corner of your garden and garden often takes a lot of effort. Therefore, the presence of such a device as a water column is just a gift. To it joins a hose, and your plants not only drink, but also take a shower. From the columns water is taken for delivery to any point of the territory.

A water dispenser can have a different design and purpose. It can be used for domestic consumption (water for drinking, for irrigation) or for extinguishing with nozzles for connection of fire hoses with one or several outlets (popularly referred to as "jibs"), different heights (750-3500 mm) .

The column is attached by screwing it to the hydrant located in the well at the required depth. With its help, the underground hydrant closes or opens, from where water is drawn.

Such columns can be used in areas with different climates - cold and wet, tropical, subtropical and moderate. The nominal value of the passageway of the inlet pipe of the column intended for fire extinguishing is 125 mm, the output - 2х80 mm, which is quite enough for a good volume of water at the outlet. The water pressure of the fire-fighting columns is 1.0 MPa. For the columns used on the land plots of cottages and settlements, it is sufficient to have a working pressure of 0.1-0.6 MPa and a conditional passage of the supply pipe of 15 mm.

The water dispenser can be equipped with a lever with a spring, letting go, we drain the water into the receiver. This is especially important in the winter period with the aim that there is no moisture in the above-ground part of the column, which, if frozen, can damage the entire device.

There is a column such a detail as an ejector. It is designed to automatically draw back the return water and prevent its freezing in the body of the device. In any case, the aboveground part of the column should be insulated in winter. The length of the lower part of the device is determined by the depth of the pipes.

The upper part of the body of the piston column (hood) and the lower (receiver) are made of cast iron, the middle part is a steel pipe. With the water system, the water tap is connected at the point of the receiver.

For any passer-by, thirsty, a pleasant surprise may be a street column, which is still sometimes seen not only outside the city, but also in its line - in parks, squares, squares. This insignificant at first glance, the detail delivers during the walk an extra pleasure for both small and grown-ups.
