Application of clinker brick

Clinker brick is distinguished from ordinary ceramic bricks by greater strength and reliability. "Clinker" in translation from the German word for word means "brick", that is, more precisely - "brick brick". This material appeared more than 2 millennia ago in Holland and was made of high-density ceramic stone. In the early 19th century, for the first time a road connecting Harlem with Amsterdam was built from such material, after which the Dutch patented the technology for the production of this material, which eventually spread to all Western European countries.

This material is used in the construction of multi-storey buildings, and the appearance of clinker facades is able to decorate any city street, avenue or give the city district a special grace. Clinker brick is also used for the reconstruction of ancient architectural structures and for the construction of new buildings in the historic part of the city.

The buildings of clinker bricks can be made in the style of traditional, classical architectural forms, and in the construction of modern architectural forms of buildings, clinker material is appropriate as well as glass, concrete or metal structures. Clinker material is also widely used in low-rise residential construction, and more recently clinker is widely used in landscape design.

Clinker is an indispensable material for the paving of garden paths, grounds and is one of the architectural elements of the overlapping of the fenders. Undoubtedly, the wide use of this material is conditioned by its numerous positive properties.

One of the most important positive properties of clinker bricks is its frost resistance. This material can withstand not only sharp changes in temperature, retaining its strength and aesthetic appearance, but also not to change its performance characteristics in extremely low temperatures. As a result, costs associated with repair work are significantly reduced.

An equally important characteristic is the strength of clinker bricks, which is characterized by a high limit of stability when compressing bricks. That is, under the influence of what force will break down the brick. The strength of the material is due to the high-tech firing technology at temperatures above 1110-1200 degrees Celsius.

With such a high temperature regime, no cavities or voids remain in the cavity of the brick, and there are no inclusions. During the manufacturing process, the products are fired to full baking, which allows you to purchase different shades. This type of brick is made from a special kind of clay.

It is worth mentioning that. That this type of brick has a high coefficient of resistance to mechanical stress and atmospheric phenomena. The facades, erected from clinker bricks, are not even exposed even to contamination, even in an environment with a high content of harmful impurities, not to mention the effects of mechanical damage of various shapes.

No other kind of brick that is used for the erection of facades, can not be compared with clinker brick on the reliability of the facade protection from the influence of unfavorable environmental factors. However, even after several years, the facade does not lose its original attractiveness.

Clinker brick is also characterized by an acceptable index of water absorption. Water absorption is the ability of products to absorb moisture to the limit of saturation. Accordingly, the lower this index, the better, since a material having a high water absorption coefficient does not have a high level of frost resistance. The range of this indicator for clinker bricks should be in the range from 3 to 6% of the total weight of the product.

It is best to spread this type of brick only on a special masonry mortar. Now it has become possible to apply color mixtures of mortars for laying clinker bricks. Also exists as matte. So glossy versions of clinker bricks, so you can easily choose the most suitable option.
Care for clinker bricks is quite simple. Clean the dirt with a normal cleaning solution or ordinary water, using a hard brush. Clinker brick is an environmentally friendly material, because it is made exclusively of water and clay and does not contain harmful impurities in its composition.
