The spiritual world of man

If you look at one of the popular search engines, how often Internet users ask a question about what a person's spiritual world is, then it becomes even surprising how important this topic is. It would seem that it can be simpler: it is enough to turn to religious "spiritual pastors" and get all the answers from them. Oh, someone, and these people just need to know about what lies behind the term "the spiritual world of man." Alas, when it comes to something non-material, it's not so simple ...

The main problem is that until now there is no clear definition of the concept of the "spiritual world of man". As a result, each person chooses for himself the closest interpretation to him and further adheres to it. Let us assume that different, often opposite, points of view on the question of what the spiritual world of man is, exist because the subject itself is too multifaceted to be "squeezed" into certain frames. Still Pascal said that our knowledge can not have an end, because everything studied is infinite.

All interpretations can be conditionally divided into two large categories: idealistic and materialistic. According to the first, the spiritual world is a manifestation of some kind of consciousness objectively existing beyond the material world, and independent of man. Religion, in particular, considers the matter from this side. The second category represents it as one of the manifestations of higher nervous activity, that is, there is no person - there is no spiritual world.

To make it more understandable, we can give a simple example that every person encounters: a dream or, more precisely, a dream. Despite the fact that people see dreams from the very beginning, there is still no clear answer to this question. In materialistic science, it is commonly believed that a dream is a product of the mind, one of the manifestations of brain activity. That is, everything that happened to a person during the day (including thoughts) that affected him, after falling asleep, continues to be processed by the brain, since the excitation in the neurons does not disappear immediately. The result is a dream in which you can often guess the familiar objects, people, situations. By the way, it is also part of the spiritual world of man, from the point of view of materialism. In parallel with this, it is often possible to meet the assertion that during sleep the immaterial component of a person (soul, etheric body) temporarily leaves the body and wanders through the worlds. Accordingly, everything that a person sees in a dream is real.

In turn, a person's spiritual culture is really part of the personality. It is a set of norms of behavior, moral principles, knowledge of laws, languages, customs, etc., acquired by a particular individual. In general, it includes both personal and socio-social intangible aspects of life. Partly, thanks to the spiritual culture, the integral personality of man is formed, a balance is created between the desire for knowledge of the intangible planes of being and the physical world. Understanding of art and creativity, self-expression - all this is based on spiritual culture.

Sometimes, to simplify understanding, its components are indicated. These include religious culture (identification with a certain current), pedagogical and intellectual (the ability to comprehend and share new knowledge with others), artistic (this is the creative principle of every person), moral and legal (it is the basis that allows organically to exist in a society like Individuals).

Spiritual culture has been formed for many millennia, and its particular manifestations depend on the person's belonging to any nation, self-identification.
