Winning the competition

Many years ago, when she was nine years old, she met the vocalist of the collective "Kalinov Most" Dmitry Reviakin, who was impressed by her beautiful voice. He sent to the capital for the program "The Morning Star" a record of the song of Pelagia, but at that time there was still no folklore category there. But Yuri Nikolayev solved this problem simply: he offered the girl to take part in the competition of the winners of the project. The girl was accepted to the Novosibirsk team of KVN, and she became the youngest member of the club for all time. Then the singer Pelageya received an invitation to perform at a large-scale performance on the Red Square, timed to coincide with the 850th anniversary of the capital. It was sent to her by a famous director named Mikhalkov-Konchalovsky. The girl who performed her famous song "Anybody, Brothers, Love!", Attracted everyone's attention, her speech was removed, after which the audience watched in many countries of the world. From that moment, the media began to refer to it as the "Symbol of Perestroika", as well as "National Treasure". Entering the music school and recording the first album

Soon the singer and her mother began to live in the capital, in a rented apartment. The young singer entered the music school at the piano department. After a while, her debut album was recorded, called "Lubo!".

In the beginning of spring 1998 Pelageya became a guest of the program "Anthropology", led by Dmitry Dibrov. It was then that the Russian president saw her and made her a very tempting proposal. For the first time in many years, a summit was held, in which the heads of several countries took part: Russia, Germany and France. Seven days later, Pelagia performed at the rock club, delighting the guests and journalists with the performance of her hits. In the late autumn of 1998, Pelagia contributed to the recording of the album with cover versions of Depeche Mode tracks. The girl sang the song Home. Soon the publication FUZZ recognized her cover as the best. In early summer of 1999 Mstislav Rostropovich invited the singer to participate in the prestigious Swiss music festival held in Evian.

August 1999 was successful for Pelagia - she was lucky to take part in the Fringe Edinburgh Festival. The young singer went there together with another talented girl from Ukraine - Katya Chile, they teamed up and named themselves Prodigies, so they performed together. Edinburgh viewers liked their compositions very much.

In 1999, in autumn, the singer recorded two new songs in the capital of Ukraine: the aria of Mary Magdalene from the famous opera "Jesus Christ the Superstar" and "The Sacrifice of the Evening" (the so-called Orthodox prayer). The compositions, as was to be expected, turned out to be excellent.

At the beginning of the winter of 2000, the anniversary of Christianity was celebrated, and the singer, together with the Osipov Orchestra and the Bolshoi Theater vocalists, performed at the Theater of Nations located in the Israeli capital. And then she sang in Bethlehem, in the square near the Cathedral of the Nativity of Christ. In addition to many fans, it was also heard by all Orthodox Patriarchs, including Alexy II. Again people began to search for information about the name of the singer Pelagia and when they found out that this was her real name, they were happy that her parents had so beautifully called her. 2000 in general became very fruitful for the singer. Stopping recording songs for the album, she begins to prepare for the next performances. The only disappointment was that the singer never found a producer to realize her main creative goal - to define a musical style that would help to present authentic and famous folk compositions to a wide circle of listeners.

So, Pelagia recruited a group of people who were as indifferent to music as she herself, who was between 16 and 20 years old, and began to prepare a concert program. And the singer did not rack her brains over who she was designed for. The compositions were very light and sincere, the guys played acoustic guitars, percussion, accordion and ethnic wind instruments.

Performances in clubs and concerts

Initially, the singer Pelagia planned to perform in various clubs, for example, in the "Chinese pilot Jao Da." However, it was decided to perform some compositions from this program also on the Kremlin pop-concert concerts. Of course, most singers there just open their mouths to the soundtrack. And the collective, now called "Pelagia", does not want to hear anything about it - it's not their prerogative.

This acoustic program was included in the subsequent part of the album. It contains seven tracks and is notable for the concert sound that was so fond of the singer's fans.

Speech at the Theater Olympics and the next summit, the release of the album with romances

In 2001, the Pelageya team performed excellently at the Theater Olympics, organized by V. Polunin. And at the end of the summer, the singer performed her compositions at another meeting of the eleven presidents of the former Soviet republics. There she performed together with Alla Pugacheva. In the autumn of the same year an album with romances performed by Russian singers was released. These compositions were to be used in the picture "Azazel". The media announced the two best singers: Pelageya and Grebenshchikova. At the end of autumn Emir Kusturica arrived in the capital , he accidentally heard the song of Pelageya and invited her to perform the soundtrack to her new painting.

Singer Pelagia: personal life

In 2010, the wedding of the performer and Dmitry, the guy with whom she performed together in the KVN, took place. A couple of years the couple decided to divorce. None of them did not comment on this, but there is an opinion that the reason was the unwillingness of the singer to give birth to a child and her husband's betrayal.

Now, apparently, Pelagia found a new guy. Recently it began to be noticed in the company of an unknown man. They constantly hold hands and shine with happiness.
