Currently, the Yekaterinburg Suvorov School is a federal state-run educational institution under the auspices of the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation.

History

It is known about the history of the creation of the Yekaterinburg Suvorov School that it was formed during the war by special decree No. 901 of the Council of People's Commissars of the USSR, which was published in August 1943. Thus, the Soviet government took care of the restoration of normal life in the liberated areas, and the most urgent measures in this regard were the education and training of underage orphans. The main goal was not only to get a secondary education. The boys were trained as future officers of the Soviet Army. Sverdlovsk (Ekaterinburg) Suvorov School first settled in the ancient and very beautiful city of Yelets and was called Orlovsky.

The first suvorovtsy had a hard time. Ekaterinburg Suvorov school of our time and does not dream this: Suvorovtsi were allocated single-story houses with large furnaces for heating, and these young men did not have any allowances or textbooks, and their homework was written on old newspapers. Even the teachers were not qualified. However, those boys did not feel the difficulties as our contemporaries did. They were glad that they did not stay on the street. And the desire to learn military matters was extremely high. And in 1943 the Red Flag was brought here, and since then the Yekaterinburg Suvorov School on December 19 considers its own holiday - a birthday.

Start

At that time nine military Suvorov schools were opened at once, including one that had been formed with such difficulties in Yelets. The city was chosen not by chance. Back in 1843, that is exactly one hundred years ago, the Cadet Corps Bakhtin was opened in Orel (it was landowner Mikhail Bakhtin who made a huge contribution to the opening of this building). And after a century it was replaced by Orel, and later - FGKUU "Ekaterinburg Suvorov Military School."

The first head of the school was Major General Alexei Vasilyevich Kuzmin. And since then, the Red Banner of Yekaterinburg, Suvorov Military School, holds high. How to enter there, to become a worthy officer, very many modern boys are interested.

The first Suvorovites

In the first set there were five hundred and fourteen people. For the most part, these kids already knew what war was. Ekaterinburg Suvorov School (Yekaterinburg) is proud of the fact that the predecessors of today's Suvorovites were able to participate in the parades on Red Square, and not only in the Victory Parade 1945 Th, but also in Pervomaysky, and in the parade on November 7 this year.

To Yekaterinburg!

Only in 1947 Orel School was transferred home - to Sverdlovsk (later the city returned its name - Yekaterinburg). Cadets were given a building with spacious offices, with huge bright windows. And in 1948 the long-awaited first release took place - with the first honors pupils of the studies, whose photos are still adorned on the Honor Board in the hall of the school. There are many here! In June 2016 FGKOU "Ekaterinburg Suvorov School" graduated for all years of existence 745 cadets - gold and silver medalists. Eleven school leavers wear the title of Hero of the Soviet Union and Hero of Russia. Many of them became officers and received the highest government awards for courage in the performance of military duty.

Teachers

Passed difficult military and postwar years. Now the Yekaterinburg Suvorov School receives feedback from graduates, full of gratitude, since a unique teaching staff has gathered here. Almost all teachers work on the highest and first qualification categories. It is thanks to their work and tireless care that the pupils receive not only worthy training, but also high military, physical, moral and aesthetic education.

Suvorovtsy has someone to equal: the indisputable authority is enjoyed by teachers-veterans of labor, honored teachers of Russia. In 1990, the school was recognized as the best among the Suvorov, and then he was awarded a prize from the Ministry of Defense of the Soviet Union - bust of Alexander Vasilyevich Suvorov and honorary diploma.

Graduates

More than seventy years, there is an order of admission to the Yekaterinburg Suvorov Military School. Specific information for applicants will be given below. The school especially honors the feat and glory of the seven graduates of the school, who received the title of Hero of Russia posthumously. They served honestly and fulfilled their military duty to the end. All suvorovtsy know their names, remember their exploits, are proud of the fact that they learn from the same teachers and in the same classrooms. And they will always honor their bright memory.

This is a graduate of 1981, Major Sergei Kurnosenko, who stormed Grozny in 1995. The tank, which he commanded, led the attack. The gunner was wounded, and Sergei took his place. Shooting from a cannon and a machine gun, he was able to destroy three armored objects, more than twenty grenade launchers and shooters. Behind the tank Sergey went all the other units, encouraged by his pressure. However, the head tank was hit, and Sergei Kurnosenko was seriously wounded. He nevertheless continued to shoot until he died from the loss of blood.

The First Chechen War

Ibid and then fought Major Igor Petrikov, a graduate of 1983. About his courage and combat resourcefulness in Chechnya, legends went, the militants were afraid of his fighters, as a fire, they considered their commander unbeatable. And even with his death he won! He picked up an ambushed company in the attack, when there were no escape routes, and he headed it. The militants were knocked out of their positions. Major Petrikov was killed.

At the same time, the first lieutenant Sergei Firsov fought in the Marine Corps. He managed to accomplish many feats during the storming of Grozny, but one day a group of scouts was ambushed. And four hours four fighters in an environment fought back from more than one and a half hundred furious fighters. Nobody gave up. No one survived. Sergei Firsov was found seventy-two bullet wounds. He also graduated from the Sverdlovsk Suvorov School in 1988.

Ibid and then fought Major Vitaly Talabayev, who graduated from the Sverdlov Suvorov School in 1990, the famous Ryazan and became one of the most heroic soldiers of the airborne troops. His exploits in the Chechen war are not articles, but books are worthy. He died in 1999, ensuring, as always, a victory in this last battle.

The Second Chechen War

In the same place, but a little later, Lieutenant Yury Kuryagin, who graduated from the Yekaterinburg Suvorov School in 1994, took part in the Second Chechen War. He served in the Northern Fleet in the Marine Corps, was commander of the assault landing unit. He won many battles, he always went to the end. Being repeatedly injured, the battlefield did not leave, continued to direct the actions of the fighters and destroy the enemy. He was killed by a sniper. But before that, he destroyed the machine-gunning calculation, several gunmen-grenade launchers and many other bandits.

There, in the Second Chechen War, he earned the title of Hero of Russia posthumously captain Alexander Ivanov, who after graduating in 1991 from the Sverdlovsk Suvorov School studied in Syzran in the military aviation school. Commander of the link of helicopters. In the Argun gorge, the rest of the machines that carried out the task were screened, and took all the fire on themselves.

Everyone remembers the recently heroically deceased in Syria, another remarkable Russian pilot - Lieutenant-Colonel Oleg Peshkov. He also graduated from the Sverdlovsk Suvorov School in 1987.

Scientists

Among graduates of the school there are a lot of scientists - candidates and doctors of sciences, corresponding members of the Academy of Sciences, professors, academicians and honored figures. This is Doctor of Science Igor Dobrovolsky, the leading physicist of the Institute of Physics of the Earth of the Russian Academy of Sciences, is an academician of the Russian Academy of Natural Sciences, a scientific secretary of the UMO Igor Kosarev, a doctor of historical sciences Viktor Skobrov, a doctor of medical sciences Pavel Gladkikh, a scientific director of the Nuclear Research Institute, academician Vladimir Kadyshevsky .

Modern realities

Now more than five hundred Suvorov pupils study at the school, and there are practically no three-grade students among them. The best are encouraged by increased scholarships - from the Ministry of Defense and personal: the name of General Kazantsev, the name of Marshal Zhukov, from the Union of Cadets of the Urals, from the Union of reserve officers, even from the bishop of the Ekaterinburg diocese.

It is this educational institution that implements important educational programs, including experimental ones. So, in 2009 the Ekaterinburg Suvorov School for Girls opened its doors. In 2014, there was the first and last experimental release. They came here at the age of twelve and five years later - immediately after graduation - all the girls decided to enter military universities. Ekaterinburg Suvorov School for Girls has become a good school. And they gave the school a lot: they taught the Suvorovites to dance, they introduced them to a variety of creativity, moreover - the boys became much more disciplined. Everyone regrets that the Ekaterinburg Suvorov Military School for Girls is now closed.

When entering any Suvorov school, there are uniform rules. After the end of the fourth grade of the general education school, the age of the Suvorov school entering the fifth grade should not exceed twelve years. You can also apply for admission to the Suvorov School in all subsequent classes from the fifth. The last opportunity to get into the Ekaterinburg Suvorov School - after 9th grade in the tenth, if the age does not exceed seventeen years.
