The series "Once in Rostov": actors and roles

The series "Once in Rostov" today many viewers and filmmakers call one of the best multiseries films based on real events. This is not surprising, because in the shootings talented actors and director were involved, and the idea of the film belongs to Sergei Zhigunov.

The idea of creating a series

After the successful premiere and flattering reviews of the series "Liquidation", Sergei Zhigunov told one of the directors of NTV, Nikolai Kartozia, about his idea of creating a criminal picture based on real events, no less dramatic than in "Liquidation." So the process of creation of a criminal drama "Once in Rostov" began. Sergei Zhigunov, a native of Rostov-on-Don, heard this story from his father, also a native Rostov-on-Don. It was he who told Sergei about the shooting of protesters in Novocherkassk in 1962 and the activities of the gang of "fantomas". If the bandit group of the Tolstoyapatov brothers was known to many, the shooting of Novocherkassk residents, including children, was classified as "secret". Thus, the series "Once in Rostov" helped restore historical justice. In the process of filming in 2011, a memorial plaque was erected in this city in honor of those killed on that bloody day.

Director, screenwriter and producer of the film

The idea was grandiose, to adapt the idea to a full-fledged scenario offered Elena Raiska, and she coped well with this task. For the most part, the whole film is a real story, but some of the strokes are still artistic fiction. First of all, it was necessary to link the tragedy in Novocherkassk with the activities of the Tolstopyatov gang in the late 60s and early 70s. Some secondary characters are also fictional.

The director of the picture was megapopular Konstantin Khudyakov. As Sergey Zhigunov admitted, he had long wanted to work with this director, several times Konstantin refused the proposed scenarios, but this time he could not resist. After reading the script, Konstantin Khudyakov admitted that he had not seen such an interesting, yet real history for a long time. He considers the series himself not as a criminal of past years, but as a drama of the entire Soviet generation embodied in the life of characters. In addition, such an interesting story required maximum impact. It was thanks to the director that "Once in Rostov," the actors and roles of which became truly cult, became one of the most successful film products of the new millennium.

Sponsored the picture producer center Sergei Zhigunova. According to Sergei, the series "Once in Rostov" he considers one of the best in his career.
