The recipe for "Cowberry" is in two versions

Due to the amazing qualities of lingonberries it is considered a forest king-berry. It is not only tasty and useful, but also has medicinal properties, helping with many diseases. The most common billet preparations are jam, compotes. You can also freeze the fruit or wet in the marinade. Any of these dishes allows you to save the vitamins contained in the berry. In this article, the recipe for "Cowberry sour" is proposed in two versions. The originality of the amazing billet is that it can be used as a flavorful seasoning for both desserts and meat dishes.

Recipe: cowberry wax "Classical"

Fill composition

  • 1 liter of raw water;
  • ½ tablespoon of sugar;
  • ½ complete tsp. Salt.

Preparation

Ripe berries of cranberries go through, removing garbage and spoiled fruit. Then thoroughly wash the mass, several times changing the water. Boil the fill (use the suggested proportions for its preparation) and cool to room temperature. In this recipe "Cowberry Sweeten" can be changed by adding cinnamon, sweet pepper or other condiments to the water for flavor. Berries pour into a glass, enamel container or wooden barrel. Pour them with marinade so that all the cowberry is covered with liquid. Cover the fruit with a flat plate or a wooden mug, and on top with a piece of cloth. When canning in cans, you can immediately cover with twisting lids. Place the damp cranberries in a cool place. Due to the fact that the berries contain bactericidal substances, you do not need to worry about washing the canvas - it does not become moldy and will not sour. Such a workpiece can be stored for up to two years. This is how the classic cranberries are cooked. The recipe can be slightly modified by adding other ingredients. If you are fond of fresh and unusual flavors, try to cook the berry in the manner described below.

Recipe: cranberry cowwort with apples

Composition

  • 5 kg of fresh berries cranberries;
  • 1 kg of ripe apples of acid varieties;
  • 4 liters of raw water;
  • 1 kg of sand-sugar;
  • 1.5 full tsp. Cinnamon;
  • 5-6 medium asterisks of a carnation;
  • ½ tsp. Table salt.

Preparation

  1. Treat the berries and thoroughly rinse with cold water. After that, throw the mass into a colander for draining. It is desirable then to drip the cowberry for drying on a table covered with paper napkins.
  2. Wash the apples. You can cut a little "tail" a little with a sharp knife. Fruits are used whole, not cutting.
  3. Boil water with sugar, spices and salt. Cool the liquid.
  4. Place apples and cranberries in wide ceramic (or clay) pots, alternating in layers. Fill the whole mass with a spicy solution.
  5. On top of the container cover around, on which you put the average weight in order to berries completely immersed in the marinade.
  6. Place the damp cranberries with apples in a cool place. After 2.5-3 weeks, you can shoot the first sample. From berries, you can then prepare a spicy sauce for meat, and apples will be the original decoration of any dessert. It is very original to serve them on the table, topped with whipped cream and decorated with red tart berries.
