The problem of research is what is it? Examples

The research problem is an important and responsible task. It is on how well it is chosen that the final outcome of all work depends. Let's consider in detail the question concerning its choice, we will result some concrete projects and research works.

Hypothesis

It would seem, how is the scientific problem of research connected with the hypothesis? In practice, there is a direct relationship between them. Before you start working on a project, you need to find out exactly what you will be analyzing throughout your research. A hypothesis is an assumption that is advanced at the beginning of a scientific project or an experimental study. As the object or a particular phenomenon is studied, it can be confirmed or refuted.

Problem Search

Given that the research problem is a specific task, which the researcher will have to solve after the experiment is completed, it is important to take seriously the selection of the topic of the work or project.

How to do it correctly? If it is a question of school research works or projects, the selection of the topic is carried out in close cooperation with the scientific adviser.

Examples of choosing topics

Depending on the scientific field chosen for experiments, the topic can be both voluminous and concrete. For example, if you plan to study the history of one photo, then as a study of this problem you can consider the search for relatives, places associated with the snapshot. For example, as a variant of such a project, one can consider an old school photograph of the graduating class. The guys can find out in the course of their project how the fate of each of the guys happened, learn about their attitude to school.

Methods of work

In addition to the subject matter, it is important to find suitable methods for investigating problems. Otherwise, it will be difficult to talk about the relevance and reliability of the results. For example, if the study is conducted in the field of chemistry or ecology, it is expedient to apply the experimental method.

During the series of experiments, it is possible to identify the average indicator, based on the results obtained, to draw conclusions. Have you decided to conduct research in the humanitarian field? In this case, you can apply a sociological survey.

For example, for adolescence, the choice of the future profession is relevant. You can analyze using your own methods, how temperament affects the career guidance of the younger generation.

How to conduct a similar study? The analysis of the problem involves the selection of theoretical material, that is, a literary review. To begin with, it is necessary to find out what kinds of temperaments exist , to look for techniques that allow them to be identified in adolescents.

Next, you can select a group of volunteers for whom the selected tests will be offered. Summing up the results of the conducted research, it is possible, as recommendations, to offer to the children those professions that were identified as optimal during the test.

Goals and objectives

The tasks of the study of the problem must be concrete, definite, realistic. After choosing a topic, you need to determine the purpose of the project. On its basis, it is possible to single out tasks that the researcher will solve as he works on the project. Let us assume that the aim of the experiment is to quantitatively calculate the content of ascorbic acid in rowan berries. As the tasks that should be set at the same time, we will distinguish:

  • The study of scientific literature relating to the issue of research;
  • The allocation of a variety of techniques that will be optimal and realistic in this case;
  • Collection of material for the experiment;
  • Experiments;
  • Conclusions and recommendations on the research problem.

As a supplement to the experiment, we can mention applications in which tabulated indices of the vitamin C content in the samples will be indicated.

A young scientist can compare the obtained and tabulated values, draw conclusions.

Object of study

How do schoolchildren solve the problems of modern research? As a subject of research, children choose vitamins, fats, carbohydrates, when it comes to projects in the field of chemistry and ecology. For example, as an object of research, you can choose the coast of the White Sea. Considering the fact that in 2002 there was a serious oil spill from the tanker in the Onega Bay, it is possible to analyze how this situation affected the flora and fauna of this sea.

Subject of study

The research problem is an important aspect for the formation of logical thinking in the younger generation. From the choice of the subject of research depends the direction of all project activities.

As part of the introduction of a new generation of federal state standards into the modern school, the relevance and relevance of conducting student research is increasing.

For each child should be built its own educational development path, involving the implementation and project activities. The Ministry of Education before the teachers set the task of forming a harmoniously developed personality, capable of self-development, successfully socializing in modern society. To fulfill this task, teachers actively apply in their pedagogical activity the project methodology.

Novelty and Importance

The peculiarity of the research, the solution of the problem within the framework of the school project is that the results obtained are relevant and significant. In order to choose the right research topic, it is necessary to take into account several important aspects. If the research problem is a trigger mechanism for any project, then its essence is scientific novelty, as well as practical significance.

For example, even when choosing a classic technique for conducting experiments, one can find an element of novelty. If the work is deprived of this, it loses all meaning. The problem of research is the most important point, which draws the attention of his ward scientific supervisor of research or design work. Prior to its promotion, it is necessary to carefully study the scientific literature, existing practices on the issue of research.

Criteria for the problem

There are certain standards that the research problem must correspond to:

  • Objectivity of the question;
  • practical significance.

Relevance implies the importance of this issue at a certain point in time. Identifying relevance in your project or research, you can emphasize the relationship between the current state of the issue and the immediate future.

Example of a school project

We offer as an example of the design of the school project work relating to the quantitative determination of ascorbic acid (vitamin C) in tea. In the introduction, the importance of the topic is analyzed, historical facts of the application of the object of research are given.

Still in Russia used infusion of willow-tea as a drink and a cure for various diseases. Confirmation of the unique properties of this tea can be found in the works of the Russian researcher Peter Alexandrovich Badmaev. He lived more than a hundred years, largely due to the use of this infusion of amazing plants.

Ivan-tea has a unique chemical composition, which can rightly be called a "natural storage". Residents of Europe appreciated the dignity of Ivan-tea, which contains 6.5 times more ascorbic acid (vitamin C) than in lemon.

By the beginning of the XIX century, this product was the second in the list of export goods from Russia to European countries (after rhubarb). After the British seized the territory of India in the colonized territories, plantations of black tea appear, familiar to all modern Russians. Englishmen, striving to obtain material profit, "conquer" Russia and "impose" a new product to its inhabitants. Gradually, the traditions of using Ivan-tea are lost, and this useful product is undeservedly forgotten.

The difficult economic situation, the complication of relations with European countries, made the issue of reviving the traditions of classical Russian tea drinking associated with the use of Ivan-tea, important from the economic and political point of view.

Given the urgency of this issue, in our research work we decided to conduct a comparative analysis of the organoleptic and chemical properties of Ivan-tea and classical Indian tea, to reveal their similar and distinctive parameters.

Objective: to determine the quantitative content of ascorbic acid in the original tea samples.

Objectives of work:

  • To study the organoleptic characteristics of samples taken by tasting;
  • To carry out a quantitative analysis of the content of vitamin C in the samples by titration.

The subject of the study: the quantitative content of vitamin C in the original tea samples.

Object of study: ivan tea and classic Indian tea.

Methods of research:

  • literature review;
  • Iodometry (titrimetric analysis);
  • Statistical processing of results.

Hypothesis: according to the quantitative content of ascorbic acid and organoleptic indices, classical Indian tea is significantly inferior to ivan-tea.

Next is the characterization of the importance of ascorbic acid, a technique is selected for conducting the experiment.

After the completion of the study, conclusions are drawn about the importance and expediency of applying ivan-tea as an alternative to classical black tea.

Conclusion

Project technologies have become an integral part of modern education. They are used not only at the higher level of education, but also in preschool institutions.

In order for every Russian schoolchild to have the opportunity to demonstrate their creative abilities, to receive new skills and skills, they should be involved in design and research activities. Whatever kind of project they are created, in any case, its subjects should be correctly selected, the goal of the research is set, the tasks are determined, the hypothesis is put forward. Even if in the process of work it will be refuted or partially confirmed, this does not reduce the relevance and significance of the created project. In the near future, a professional standard for Russian educators will be introduced. One of the items in it will be conducting research with students, as well as involving the younger generation in project activities.
