The largest waterfall in Europe

It is worthy of surprise, but the largest in Europe is the waterfall in the Leningrad region called Tosnensky. This unique natural monument is located in the area of a small village of Sablino.

The river called Tosna has rapids, one of which is equal to the height of a person. But they say that before its height reached four meters. And the width of the famous natural monument is twenty meters.

It is worth noting that the Tosnensky Falls among the local population is known as the "mini Niagara". Waterfall on the river Karaste

Another waterfall in the Leningrad region is located on the river Karaste. There is a threshold in a place called Upper Park in Oranienbaum (this is a palace ensemble, located 40 kilometers west of St. Petersburg). Because the source of the river is located in a wooded swampy area, and its food is provided by springs, there are peat particles in the water. Gorchakov's waterfall

Next, you need to get behind the bridge, drive through Volkhov and turn right. Then you will go to the Old Ladoga (about 6 km). After you stop, you need to go for about 400 meters, until you reach a river called Volkhov.
