Pine tree: description, distribution and causes of extinction

Pine densiferous - a bright representative of the coniferous class. Her evergreen crowns have long pleased the eyes of Asian sages and poets. They admired her steadfastness and immutability, as if time itself did not control her. Alas, they were bitterly mistaken, because centuries later this tree was on the verge of extinction. And now only a few lucky people can enjoy with pleasure its beautiful branches.

Pine tree: description of species

As you can understand from the name, this tree belongs to the family of pine trees. From its relatives, the pear-colored pine differs, first of all, with rather thick needles. It is this feature that gives the plant an extraordinary beauty. But as a true "model" the pine has a bad character: without sufficient moisture it quickly fades, which has a very bad effect on its strength.

Natural habitat

The pomegranate pine grows mainly in East Asia. The largest massifs of these trees are found in the territories of Northeast China, Korea and Japan. These countries have climatic conditions, the most optimal for the growth of these representatives of the flora. If to speak about Russia, here the pine gustoflower is found exclusively in the Primorye Territory.

The tree is very demanding for the presence of moisture and light. Therefore, it prefers to grow on stony slopes along the reservoir. However, this does not mean that the pine is not capable of settling on sandy soil. With enough groundwater, she easily develops any type of land.

Another important point is that this species of pine does not form dense massifs and forests. In most cases, the trees grow in small groups, they rarely create groves. But with other breeds the pine gets on much better. Its frequent neighbors are the oak, birch and beech. In addition, on plots with soft soil under its protection many shrubs and undersized trees are covered.

Appearance

Pine is a dulcate - evergreen coniferous tree. On average, it grows to 10-15 meters in height. It should be noted that in earlier years this plant was much larger. For example, a tree aged 200-250 years can reach 30 meters in height. However, due to a number of environmental factors today only a few pine trees can boast of such a solid age. Concerning the trunk itself, it is most often strongly bent - straight trees grow solely in dense forests. The bark of the pine is brownish-red or dark brown. Needles - thin, but abundant.

Tree and Man

To date, this is an endangered species of trees. That is why many Asian countries have established a law, according to which under their protection there will be a pine blossom. The Russian Red Book also prohibits cutting down these trees on its territory. However, if people understand the importance of these prohibitions, then forest fires and hurricanes simply ignore them.

Today, man has introduced a lot of additional measures aimed at increasing the population of this species. The pear-colored pine is grown not only in the reserves, but also divorced in private sectors. In addition, through the efforts of world environmental organizations, this tree was planted outside its historical homeland - in North America and Europe.
