Childhood

Born February 19, 1800 in a wealthy family of noblemen, who lived in the Tambov province. His mother Alexandra Fedorovna was a maid of honor, and father Abram Andreevich - adjutant-general. The boy knew foreign languages from an early age. French was adopted in the house of Baratynsky, at the age of eight, Eugene freely communicated with him. Italian learned thanks to his uncle - Italian Borghese, and studied German at a private boarding school in St. Petersburg, where his parents gave him in 1808.

In 1810, his father was gone, and the mother, a clever, educated woman, took care of her son's upbringing and completely laid her on her shoulders. In 1812, Eugene entered the Corps of Pages of the City of Petersburg. There, with a certain group of comrades, he took part in pranks, which ended very sad for him. One of them bordered on a crime (theft) and became an excuse for expelling a young man from an educational institution without the right to enter the civil service, except for the soldier.

This shameful incident strongly affected the 15-year-old Eugene. The young man was more than once ready to say goodbye to life. As if through a gloomy glass, Yevgeny Baratynsky began to look at the world around him. His poems had a pessimistic mood, bordering on the emotional torments experienced by the torments of shame.

After the exception, Baratynsky went to Tambov province, to the village to his mother. Periodically visited his uncle - Admiral BA Baratynsky, who lived in the Smolensk province. Life in rural open spaces completely awakened a poetic talent in Eugene. The rhymed lines of the early period were rather weak, but for a couple of Baratynsky gained confidence and his own individual style.

In 1819, Eugene Baratynsky, whose poems are studied in the school curriculum, was enlisted in the St. Petersburg Jäger Regiment as an ordinary regiment. Interest in literature during this period prompted him to the fact that the young author purposefully began to seek acquaintance with writers. His work was appreciated by Anton Antonovich Delvig, who had a significant influence on the style of writing Baratynsky. The writer morally supported the young man, helped in the publication of his own works and acquainted with such well-known writers as Peter Pletnev, Wilhelm Kuchelbecker, Vasily Zhukovsky and Alexander Pushkin.

"I am reckless - and not marvelous!" - Evgeny Baratynsky addresses Delvig in this poem written in 1823, where he tells about his heartfelt sufferings, and the publication of the book "Two stories in verse" in which Included the poems of Baratynsky's Bal and Pushkin's Graf Nulin.

Years in Finland

In 1820, Baratynsky Evgeny Abramovich, whose biography arouses the sincere interest of fans of his work, in the rank of non-commissioned officer came to the Neyslotsky regiment, based in Finland. There he stayed for 5 years. Life led calm, solitary. The circle of contacts consisted of a couple of officers, with whom he met at the regimental commander. This period, which left deep impressions in the consciousness of Baratynsky, brightly reflected on his poetry. The harsh edge was described in the poems "Waterfall", "Finland", "Eda".

In the press periodically began to appear epigrams, madrigals, elegies and messages of Baratynsky. A special success was brought to him by the poem "Feasts", published in 1820. At this time, Eugene became close with the memoirist and historian N. Putyata, whose friendship he kept until the end of his days. Nikolai Vasilyevich described Eugene as a lean, pale man, whose features expressed deep despondency.

Baratynsky Evgeny Abramovich: interesting facts

Thanks to Putyata's petition in 1824, Eugene was allowed to come to Helsingfors (the capital of Finland). There he was at the corps headquarters of General Zakrevsky and very much carried away by his wife Agrafena. His poet devoted a lot of poems to his museum ("I'm thrilled with remarkable", "Justification", "No, you've been deceived", "Fairy", "Ball", "I'm foolish - and not marvelous!"). Evgeny Baratynsky suffered a lot because of this love. Later, a novelist with Alexander Pushkin had an affair with the male hearts.

In the meantime Baratynsky's friends persistently sought for him the appropriation of officer rank and all the time encountered a refusal by the emperor. The reason for this was the independent character of the writer's work, his opposition statements. Baratynsky was not a Decembrist, but ideas that were embodied in the activities of secret societies, completely mastered his consciousness. Political opposition was reflected in the epigram on Arakcheeva, the elegy of "The Storm", the poem "Stanza". Finally, in 1825, Eugene was promoted to the officers, which gave him the opportunity to manage his own destiny. He settled in Moscow, started a family (Evgeny Baratynsky's wife became Nastasya Lvovna Engelgard) and soon retired.

The settled life of Baratynsky

His life became monotonous; The wife had a restless character, which caused a lot of suffering to Eugene and influenced the fact that many friends had alienated him. Peaceful family life smoothed out in the poet all the rebellious, violent that tormented him in recent years. The poet lived in the capital, at his estate (Muranovo village), then in Kazan, often went to Petersburg.

In 1839 Baratynsky got acquainted with Lermontov Mikhail Yurievich. In Moscow I made friends with such writers as NF Pavlov, AS Khomyakov, IV Kireevsky, SA Sobolevsky. The result of the first period of the work of Yevgeny Baratynsky was the collection of his poems published in 1827.

Creativity of Baratynsky

The defeat of the Decembrist uprising abruptly changed the social life of Russia, which could not but affect the poetry of Baratynsky. The themes of loneliness, the great sorrow, the glorification of death as "the resolution of all chains" ("Death", "What are you, days", "Last death", "Nedonosok", "What is the slave of freedom dreaming?") Came to the fore in His work. The poems are acutely felt pessimistic motives of mourning, the futility of being, the doom of art, the inferiority of human nature, the impending doom of mankind.

In 1832 the magazine "The European" began to be published; Baratynsky became one of the active authors. There were only two releases of the publication, after which the magazine was banned. The great Russian poet, deprived of strong motivation for verbal labors, fell into desperate pinching anguish.

In 1835, the second edition of his works was published, which at that time seemed to be the completion of his creative path. The last book published during the lifetime of the Baratynsky Book was the collection "Twilight" (1842), which combined poems of the 1830s-1840s and dedicated to Prince Vyazemsky Pyotr Andreyevich. It clearly expresses the contradiction of historical progress and the spiritual and aesthetic nature of man.

Travel to Naples

From the end of 1839 Baratynsky Evgeny Abramovich (years of life - 1800-1844) with his wife and nine children lived in the estate near Muranovo, later owned by Tyutchev. The village life pleased the poet: he was happy to farm, not stopping creative searches.

In 1843 Baratynsky Eugene Abramovich, whose biography came to an end, went abroad with his older children and his wife, spent six months in Paris, met with writers and public figures of France. To introduce his poetry to the French, the poet translated several poems into his native language.

In 1844, Baratynsky set out for the sea to Naples via Marseille. At the beginning of the journey, he felt unwell, besides, doctors warned him about the possibility of adverse effects of the hot climate of Italy. On arrival in Naples with his wife Baratynsky, a painful attack on nerves occurred, which had a very strong effect on Yevgeny Abramovich. Headaches, which often worried him, intensified sharply. The day after the incident - July 11, 1844 - Baratynsky suddenly died. The poet's body was transported to St. Petersburg and buried at the Lazarevsky Cemetery, in the Alexander Nevsky Monastery.

Poetry of Baratynsky - poetry of thought

As the great Russian poet Alexander Pushkin said, Baratynsky's poetry is the poetry of thought. A poet of modern times, a romantic with a complex spiritual world full of sorrow and grief, who invested in art a great personal passion, was original, because he thought correctly and independently. Belinsky rightly believed that of all poets - contemporaries of Pushkin, the first place is occupied by Baratynsky Evgeny Abramovich. His creativity is a huge legacy for the modern generation. After the death of Baratynsky, there was a long period of almost complete oblivion of his works. Interest in the poet's work revived in the late 20 - early 21 century.

The school program includes a poem, which in 1832, wrote Eugene Baratynsky, "Spring." With unique timidity and tenderness, the author conveys the whole unusualness of the arrival of spring. Nature under the pen of Baratynsky seems to come to life, breathes and sings.

Quite the contrary mood in the poem "Where is a sweet whisper ...". Eugene Baratynsky describes the arrival of winter, its chilling cold, gloomy sky and an evil raging wind.
