Short introduction

The Republic of Komi, which will be discussed in this article, is a state subject of the Russian Federation. It is part of the Northern Economic Area. The capital of the Republic of Komi is the city of Syktyvkar, which will be given maximum attention below. The republic takes its origin from the summer of 1921. Then it was called the Autonomous Region of Zyryan. Only in 1936 the territory became a republic. Here there are two official languages: Komi and Russian. The most widespread among the people are the Belarusian, Ukrainian and Tatar languages. The head of the republic is Sergey Gaplikov.

The power in the Republic is divided into legislative, judicial and executive. The supreme power has the head of the Republic Sergey Gaplikov. Authorities cooperate with many Moscow universities. Students of the latter after graduation may be poisoned in the Republic of Komi for practice. Such a proposal was received, however, so far only those educational institutions that work in the field of sports and culture. By 2018, the Government of the Republic of Komi plans to implement a large-scale project called the "Universal Information Educational Environment". This proposal at one of the meetings of the executive authorities was announced by their head Larisa Maksimova. In the spring of 2017, a meeting of the All-Russian military-patriotic movement "Unarmia" was held in the capital. In the course of the meeting, it was decided to open ten municipal headquarters in Syktyvkar. The Committees of the Komi Republic are working together, so it is developing very rapidly and qualitatively, which can not be denied if we analyze the achievements of the past few years.

It is known that there are not enough academic units in the Republic, so children are trained in two shifts. In this regard, it was decided to immediately create another 11,400 new educational units, which will be gradually opened until 2025. The Permanent Mission of the Republic of Komi informed about the opening of the Finno-Ugric ethnopark, which became a regional tour operator and was included in the federal register of tour operators.

The natural vegetation of the Komi capital is very monotonous and consists mainly of coniferous forests. Often there are taiga forests with birches, aspens and pines. Near the reservoirs you can find spruce vegetation, which grows well on loamy soil. Borovye terraces are covered with pine trees. In small valleys near rivers that occur throughout the city, deciduous trees grow thickly. About 2.5% of the territory is occupied by marshes and lakes.

Ecology

The capital of the Komi Republic has a fairly tolerable level of ecology in comparison with other territorial units in the Russian Federation. About 40 enterprises operate in Syktyvkar. The most dangerous among them is the forest processing enterprise. It is very large, because it works on a global scale. Since the beginning of 2000, the company's management has begun to actively introduce modern cleaning technologies in order to minimize the amount of harmful substances and waste. For example, recently it was banned to use chlorine to bleach the coniferous stream. A new workshop was opened, which deals with chlorine bleaching. The second, the most polluting city, the enterprise is "Komiteks". The factory is engaged in the production of synthetic fabrics. The city authorities are doing everything to introduce cleaning technologies into the production, which are still not enough to be able to speak with confidence about the normal ecological situation.

Development prospects

The development of the Republic of Komi takes place in different spheres. Economic activity is based on the extraction and primary processing of such minerals as oil, coal, reptiles, gems, bauxites and others. A large share of revenue comes from wood processing plants and paper factories. If necessary, the Republic can develop at the expense of other minerals with which it is very rich, but which are not yet prioritized (deposits of coal, oil shale, asphaltites, peat, oil and natural gas). In some areas, the deposits of these minerals are very rich, but there is no need to use them yet. A significant contribution to the economy is made by mining chemical raw materials (phosphorites, sulfur, rock and potassium salts, barytes). For example: in the Republic there are two largest deposits of barite - Palinsky and Khoylinskoye, which respectively have reserves of 17 million tons and 40 million tons.

Population

The population of the Republic of Komi for 2017 is 850 554 thousand people. The latest data on the ethnic composition of the population are known for 2015. The number of Russian people at this time was about 550 thousand people, which meant about 65%. The indigenous population is only 200 thousand people, which was about 23%. The third ethnic group, which is common in the Republic, are Ukrainians, whose share is relatively small compared to the previous two (4%). Further - to decrease - go the Tatars, Byelorussians and Germans.

Komi is located in the Moscow time zone. The largest number of people in Syktyvkar is 240 thousand people. The second and third place is shared by Ukhta and Pechora respectively by 98 and 59 thousand people. The lowest density of population in Usogorsk, Ust-Kuloma and Oboychev.

Culture

The culture of the Republic of Komi is incredibly diverse. In order to ensure the most diversified development of future generations, 55 schools of music, art and choreography are functioning in the Republic. In total, about 8 thousand people study there. The quality of teaching and learning is confirmed every year thanks to the first prize places taken by contestants from Komi at the All-Russian and international competitions. The repertoire of the theater is quite diverse, it often shows national, classical and modern productions. There is a children's puppet theater, which is located in Vorkuta, but is actively touring throughout the Republic. The largest theater in the capital is the State Theater of Opera and Ballet. Recently, the National Music and Drama Theater was opened.

The republic is very rich in a museum. There are two state institutions - the National Gallery and the National Museum, as well as 18 other museums of municipal significance. The capital of the Republic of Komi is very multi-ethnic, and each ethnic group brings its own culture to the development of the culture of the Republic, which makes it unique, diverse and diverse. For today in the territory of the Republic there are 13 national-cultural autonomies (Ukrainian, Belarusian, German, Armenian, etc.).

National clothes

We already know that Syktyvkar is the capital of the Komi Republic, but what do we know about old traditions and national clothes? National women's clothing consists of a shirt and a sarafan, on top of which bright, spacious sweaters were worn. Young girls wore colorful wreaths. The wedding headpiece was a round necklace, covered with a scarlet cloth. Married women wore kokoshniki, magpies and collections, and in the elderly - dark kerchiefs. Men's clothing consisted of canvas pants and a shirt. The latter was worn out and belted by a belt. Pants tucked into woolen socks. The head dress of men was a felt or sheepskin hat. Outer clothing was decorated with traditional geometric patterns. In winter, people wore warm clothes made of reindeer skins and fur boots.
