The drug 'Monural'. Reviews, description, application

The drug "Monural" is part of the pharmacological group of antibiotics. The active substance is trometamol phosphomycin. The medicine is prescribed for many infections in the urinary tract. But mainly used the drug "Monural" with cystitis.

Medication is prescribed for asymptomatic massive bacteriuria in pregnant women, bacterial nonspecific urethritis. The evidence includes postoperative lesions in the urinary tract.

The drug "Monural" (reviews of many experts confirm this) is a highly effective and quick-acting agent. Medication when ingested creates a sufficiently high concentration.

The drug has an antiadhesive effect. It prevents the "adhesion" of pathological microbes to specific receptors in uroepithelial cells.

The drug "Monural" (reviews of many patients testify to this) quickly removes soreness with urination and facilitates the course of acute conditions.

This medicine is indicated for acute bacterial cystitis, with recurrent attacks of it. The drug "Monural" (reviews of doctors are unambiguous in this) should be used as a prophylaxis of infections in the urinary tract in transurethral diagnostic activities, as well as in surgical intervention.

The pharmaceutical agent acts bactericidal on gram-positive and gram-negative microbes. The drug suppresses the activity of bacterial strains capable of producing beta-lactamase. The drug "Monural" is sensitive to microorganisms resistant to other antibiotics (fluoroquinolones, quinolones, beta-lactam medicines, aminoglycosides, sulfonamides, tetracyclines, nitrofuran derivative).

Accumulation of the active substance takes place in the urine. The therapeutic concentration of trometamol phosphomycin is maintained in the body for one to two days.

Medication "Monural" (doctors' reviews are unambiguous in this) is allowed only for oral administration. If it gets into the gastrointestinal tract, it quickly absorbs. When using the drug with food, its concentration in the plasma is markedly reduced, however, the effectiveness does not change. In the process of recycling the medication in the body (in the intestine and liver, in particular) it is ensured that its concentration is maintained for 24-48 hours. This period is enough to get the necessary therapeutic result.

The drug "Monural" is desirable to take in the evening, two hours after a meal or in front of it. Dosage is determined by the doctor individually. As a rule, in the acute phase, a single dose is three grams (for adults) and two grams (for children).

The medicine is taken once. But against a background of chronic course of pathology, as well as for patients in old age, the drug is prescribed twice three milligrams with a daily interval in the methods.

For prophylaxis, the drug is prescribed in a dosage of three grams three hours before the operation or diagnostic study. A day after the events take another three grams.

When taking medication, heartburn, diarrhea, and nausea may occur. In some cases, there are allergic reactions, rash.

The drug "Monural" has the following contraindications:

Hypersensitivity;

- Renal failure (in severe course);

- Children's age (up to five years).

The medicine can be prescribed during the bearing of the child. But in this case it is necessary to take medication under strict medical supervision. Breastfeeding women during treatment should stop breastfeeding.

In clinical practice, cases of overdose have not been documented.

Before starting treatment with the drug "Monural" you should consult a doctor and read the annotation carefully.
