The composition of the banana and its useful properties

Golden, yellow bananas have long become a common commodity of our stores. They are very tasty, they are loved by children and adults. They have a mass of useful properties that determine the composition of the banana and the energy of the tropical sun enclosed in them. The bulk of the fruit is produced in South America and the countries of northern Africa. If you think that bananas grow on palms, then this is not quite so. In fact, what is taken for a palm is the multi-year-old grass masquerading under it. True, it reaches sometimes nine-meter growth, and one-and-a-half-meter bunches of bananas on it look very impressive.

But we got distracted somewhat. It will be specifically about the composition of bananas and their useful and nutritional properties. Carbohydrates are the main constituent of the fetus. Sweet, mealy flesh, with a characteristic "banana" taste and aroma, perfectly satisfies the feeling of hunger, lifts the mood. As for the mood - this is the truth! After a few eaten bananas it really rises! The fact is that the predecessors of endorphin, tryptophan and methionine, are part of the chemical composition of the banana in a very tangible amount. This is characteristic not only of dessert bananas, which we see on the shelves, but also the so-called plantains.

Plantains are unsweetened and tough bananas, which are used for preparing various food dishes and for animal feed. In Africa, without them, not one mistress, well, like, like us without potatoes. By the way, as in our potato, and in bananas, a lot of potassium. It is necessary for the heart, skeletal muscles and nervous system. More than 300 mg of potassium per 100 g of banana mass - this is quite palpable. And the heart will work better, and the nerves will calm down. In addition to potassium, the banana contains other chemical elements that a person needs. They are phosphorus and magnesium, iron, sodium and calcium, copper and other elements.

They are necessary for the construction of bone tissue, participate in metabolism, in water-salt metabolism, provide heart function and blood formation. Carbohydrates in mature bananas are represented by sucrose, glucose and fructose, and in green - starch. At their expense, the fruits have a high caloric value (about 100 kilocalories per 100 g of banana pulp). This makes them a very nutritious product. Carbohydrates of ripe bananas are easily digested, which can not be said about green. Starch, contained in plantains, increases gas formation in the intestine. They are consumed only after heat treatment.

The composition of fruits includes very little protein, even less fat, fiber and various vitamins. Especially a lot of vitamin C, there is also a precursor of vitamin A carotene, vitamin PP, vitamins from group B. The nutritional value of bananas is due to the high content of carbohydrates, due to which they are very nutritious. Di- and three saccharides, which form the main part of carbohydrates, are quickly absorbed in the intestines and enter the bloodstream. Diabetics for this reason do not recommend eating them in large quantities to prevent the increase of sugar in the blood. Do not get carried away by bananas full of people, because on carbohydrate food, which is also easily digestible, they can add more weight.

Bananas practically do not contain allergens, therefore they are recommended even to allergic children. Fiber of bananas is useful in diseases of the intestines and stomach. It envelops the mucosa of the digestive organs and brings relief to patients with pain syndrome.

Fruits are very useful to the cores and patients receiving diuretics that excrete potassium. Magnesium, which is part of the banana, also participates in the mechanism of cardiac contractions. Thus, these fruits are not only delicious, but also a useful food product.

All bananas, and about 40 of them, are good in their own way, and they are all used in cooking. Dessert bananas are used for making sweet dishes and fruit salads. Plantines in our country have not yet received recognition. But in tropical countries, they are used as side dishes for fish and meat dishes. They play a big role in feeding the local people.

If you are interested in the useful properties of bananas, include them more often in your diet. Eat them fresh and cook delicious dishes from them. They are not only tasty, but also very useful.
