Temperature in Turkey: how to find the perfect place to relax
Of course, most of Turkey is known to Turkey as a country offering beach holidays, hotels that work on an all-inclusive system. Meanwhile, it is famous for its historical places, such as Ephesus, Dalyan and, of course, Istanbul. In addition, the climate of the country allows you to organize a quality winter vacation, and its ski resorts are actively developing.
The weather in the same month varies greatly depending on the region. The country is washed by the waters of four seas, and each coast has its own microclimate. The main resort regions of the country and the typical weather for them are described below.
Temperature in Turkey: the Black Sea coast
The northern part of the country has access to the Black Sea. The region attracts tourists with the opportunity to combine cognitive tourism and beach holidays for two reasons:
- A huge number of attractions located in this part of the country;
- Absence of debilitating heat and drought even in the summer.
The climate here is closer to the moderately continental: unlike the Mediterranean coast, there are no extremely high temperatures, which makes the duration of the swimming season shorter. At the same time, the Pontic and Caucasus mountains do not allow to penetrate the cold air, so in winter the region is warm enough. The terrain is characterized by high humidity, and the sky is often covered with clouds. The season lasts from June to September. The water temperature in these months is kept in the range 23-26, air 25 degrees. In June and August, the amount of precipitation is quite high.
On the Black Sea coast, residents of Turkey prefer to rest, and the infrastructure here is actively developing, first of all, due to cognitive tourism. The main resorts are: Amasra, Kurukasile, Rize, Sinop and Fatsa.
Here is the province of Dalaman, and its business card is the youth resorts of Marmaris and Bodrum and places for a relaxing holiday Icmeler and Fethiye.
The climate of this area is dry. The coast is protected by numerous islands, so the sea here is calm and transparent. Already at the end of spring the air warms up to 22 degrees, the water is, of course, a little cooler. Sometimes you can swim at the end of April, but, according to statistics, the season lasts from May to the end of September. In October, the rains begin to cool down.
The exception is Bodrum, which is located on the peninsula, it is more windy and cool, the beach season is slightly shorter.
Temperature in Turkey: Marmara Sea
This coast meets an equal number of tourists. The sea is small in size, so the water heats up early. Resting in this region, you can easily get to Istanbul, Troy and other notable places of Turkey.
Resorts of Turkeli, Eredek and Moudania are deservedly considered one of the best in the country, and the place of Genen is famous for its healing waters.
The climate of the region is unique - in winter the temperature seldom drops below 15 degrees, and in summer it is moderately hot, not more than 30 degrees. The air is dry.
This region of the country is probably the most visited by the Russians. Here are located Kemer, Antalya and Alanya.
The Alanya area provides unique opportunities, which few world resorts can boast: in March, you can combine ski and beach holidays, and for many that is what attracts Turkey. The temperature by month in Alanya changes as follows (average statistical data of daily values are given):
Months | December- February | March | April | May | June | July | August | September | October | November |
T, ° C | 15 | 18 | 23 | 25 | 29 | 32 | 31 | thirty | 27th | 22 |
This is the southern coast of the country, here the hottest summer (except for the central regions) and warm winter. You can swim from March to November, but you do not have to wait for very warm water in early spring.
And, of course, knowing the purpose of your visit and the climate of the region, you can start choosing a hotel that will also not be easy to do.
