"Svyatogor" ("Moskvich-Svyatogor"): technical characteristics, reviews and prices (photo)

"Moskvich-214145-Svyatogor" is a 5-door passenger car, which was produced at the Moscow plant AZLK since 1997. Compared with the previous models of 2140, this novelty received a completely different line of engines, and also significantly changed its appearance. Design

As we noted earlier, "Moskvich-2141-Svyatogor" (photo of this car you can see on the left) is very similar to cars of foreign origin, which were serially produced in the 90s. And it really is so - the design of "Svyatogor" by the then standards could not be called obsolete. For the first time on it were used rounded headlights, which significantly modernized the look of the car. The bumper of "Moskvich" is very simple - it is not painted in the color of the body and made of plastic. At the bottom there are places for fixing the fog lamps (they could be installed by the car owner, if desired). The discs "Moskvich-Svyatogor" has stamped - there was never a cast in this model.

The overall design of the body of the car is very similar to the VAZ of the ninth family - there is a very similar profile between them. However, the presence of incomprehensible angularity did not make the car old and in no way reflected on the external appearance from the negative side. The architecture of the hood, wings and doors on the "Svyatogor" is the simplest - about any relief forms at that time the domestic car industry did not even dream. At the same time, the absence of pathos significantly reduced the cost of constructing the machine.

Dimensions and capacity

Svyatogor-Moskvich - technical specifications

In 1997, at the plant AZLK it was decided to equip the hatchback Svyatogor with engines of the French brand Renault. So, in the range of power units there were the following settings:

Renault F3R

This engine was developed in the early 80's of the last century and was serially installed on the French car "Renault-Lagoon", as well as on "Megan" of the first generations. On all the above machines, this power unit was installed transversely, but it was installed longitudinally on the Moskvich. Therefore, for correct work with the transmission, our engineers have made small changes in the design of the engine F3R.

According to technical characteristics F3R is an eight-valve two-liter petrol unit with 4 cylinders. The total power of this engine is 113 horsepower.

Judging by the reviews, the French F3R was very high-speed, although for quiet movement its elasticity was quite enough. By the way, it was this unit of the entire line that owned the most optimal power-traction characteristics, so it was the most in demand among domestic motorists.

Specialists consider this engine to be one of the most successful in automotive history, as its total resource reaches 500 thousand kilometers.

The dynamic characteristics of Svyatogor-Moskvich were quite good. Thanks to 113 "horses", the maximum speed that he could develop reached 175 km per hour. Dynamics of acceleration in the car with this engine was also quite good - "a hundred" he dialed in just 11 seconds. But, most notably, this unit corresponds to the norms of exhausts of "Euro-2" (and this is the motor of the construction of the 80's!).

But there are drawbacks to such a car as "Moskvich-Svyatogor" 2.0. The owners' comments mark the high cost of spare parts for it, as well as the frequent lack of necessary spare parts on the Russian market.

The F7R engine

This unit was installed on many modifications of the car "Moskvich-2141". Among them there are such rare versions as "Ivan Kalita", "Prince Vladimir", and also "Duet". Unlike the first described engine, the F7R was sixteen-valve. This design allowed to significantly increase the capacity of the unit by 32 horsepower. The working volume of the power plant is also 2 liters, but the torque increased by 17 N / m and is 188 N / m at 4.5 thousand rpm.

As for the dynamics, in this respect Svyatogor with the F7R engine was one of the leaders among all domestic cars that were then produced serially in Russia. "The Hundred" he dialed in just 11 seconds, while "maximal" was as much as 190 kilometers per hour.

Unit F4R

This engine is also sixteen-valve and has a working volume of 2.0 liters. However, what distinguishes it from previous "brethren" is the total capacity, which is equal to 140 "horses". By the way, this unit meets the Euro-3 standard in terms of exhaust emissions.

Operational experience

Many, who had in operation "Svyatogor", called this machine unique. And these are not empty words. As a proof of this, we can at least even include the power units that are installed on this car. In fact, they do not require major repairs over 500 thousand kilometers - that is, power plants here can be considered eternal. Also, the acceleration dynamics and the moderate fuel consumption, which is kept within 10 liters per 100 kilometers, are pleased.

But this is not the last, for which motorists praise "Moskvich". The interior of the car also deserves everyone's attention. Yes, it is possible by today's standards, the interior design is too ascetic, but the impression of the trip can not be compared to any VAZ. Even that "Russian Mercedes" (VAZ-2107) was far inferior to "Svyatogoru" in terms of build quality and level of comfort. The stove, unlike the VAZ, works flawlessly and heats even in the worst frost. In winter, the car starts at half a turn, even if it's minus 30 on the street. True, as drivers say, this requires a good battery and a timely oil change (however, like all other elements and parts of the car). Among the significant failures can be noted except that the thermostat malfunction and the wiper drive.

But, what is most interesting, is the cost of the car. In good condition, "Svyatogor" can be purchased for only 20-30 thousand rubles. However, after purchasing the car, motorists advise carefully to handle the body with anticorrosion, otherwise it will cover with brown coating throughout the perimeter. And when buying should refrain from selecting already rusty "Muscovites", since to eliminate this problem is almost unrealistic. Because you have to completely rebuild the bottom. Although in Russia "Svyatogor" with an ideally clean and not rusty body is quite possible to find. When operating, remember the main thing - if you take care of the car, it will thank you the same!

"Moskvich-Svyatogor": tuning

Among the owners of the "Muscovites" of the 2141st model, very few are engaged in external tuning. The matter is that various plastic weather-cloths and a spoiler it is concrete on this model of a hatchback are not made how for example for "Seven". Therefore, to find something suitable for the owner of "Svyatogor" is a very difficult task. Motorists conceived are limited only to the tinting of glasses, the installation of cast fifteen-inch wheels and the painting of the body in the metallic color (or airbrushing) of the Moskvich-Svyatogor car. The headlights are equipped with "cilia", or they buy alternative optics. Rear view mirrors can be supplied from Opel. In general, the option for external tuning is quite enough - you just need to find a suitable kit and STO / atelier.

As for the technical part, things are simpler here. "Reno's" engine to change and force is unreasonable, since it already has normal characteristics. The other thing is transmission. It can be replaced with a gearbox from the German "Audi". The brake system is also slightly modified. Here motorists change front brakes to "Volgovskie", more reliable. We do not recommend changing the suspension to a more rigid one, however, for fans of sports driving we will tell you how to do this. Some shorten the springs or install details of "handicraft". But in order to be sure that the car will not go into the ditch when turning, it is better to restrict the installation of sports gas shock absorbers.

Interior

The interior of the car is processed to the taste of the car owner. Interior can be sewed with any material. We recommend using a carpet for carpet lining, and for doors - vinyl or alcantra. Seats and steering wheel are also being replaced. Sports seats will be either bought on disassembly, depends only on your taste. Comfort from this will not decrease. Although many car enthusiasts emphasize the rigidity of sports seats and recommend installing them from foreign cars such as "Ford", "Audi" and so on.

The gearbox knob also changes to an alternate one. Its design is chosen according to your taste. To emphasize the overall interior design and add a bit of convenience to the interior, get pedal pads in the style of "aluminum".

Radio tape recorder

At last you can rework the audio system. Mount the subwoofer in the trunk is not worth it (it is already too small), but more powerful speakers on the rear shelf and the new radio is quite suitable for the domestic "Moskvich".
