Such different leashes for dogs

It was long ago that those days when in pet shops from ammunition for dogs it was possible to get except for a canvas leash, a simple collar and a muzzle made of leather straps were gone. To date, fortunately, things are very different - the choice of various accessories for dogs is so wide that it will not be long and be lost. Harnesses, swings, ringing, chains, roulettes, nylon and leather leashes and dog collars - which is not!

Of course, a ring or a swap may not be necessary for everyone, but without which exactly no one can decide to get a dog, it's without a lead. Even the most educated dog in urban conditions should not walk freely! A lot of cars, other dogs, some of which can be aggressively tuned to their own brethren, passersby who may be frightened of one species freely walking around a large pet ... And this is only a small part of the reasons why each dog within the city should be under the control of the owner . But the leash is not only a means of limiting freedom, it can also become a fashionable and stylish accessory that emphasizes the status of the owner. Of course, the choice depends on your needs and, of course, financial possibilities. What are the leashes for dogs, and for what purposes they serve, we will tell in our article.

Let's start with the classics of the genre - leashes for dogs from the skin (or leatherette). Although one such, perhaps, there is in the arsenal of any dog owner. In the pet stores there is simply a huge assortment of leather leashes, varying in thickness and length - from short drivers in 40 - 50 cm, to walking versions up to 2.5 meters. From the simplest to the most exclusive in appearance and color scheme - wicker, embossed, with inserts of metal or even decorated with rhinestones. All this diversity allows you to choose any option for a daily walk, and for "going out".

When choosing a leash, be guided by the size and strength of your dog. Leather - the material is quite strong, but the weak point in the leash may be a metal clasp, or a carbine, with which it is fastened to the collar. It is very important to choose it according to the weight and strength of your dog. Carbines come in different designs, but with the right choice, any of them will be quite reliable. When buying carefully inspect it, slide the latch several times to check if it does not stick. Leather leash does not like moisture, so it should be washed only as a last resort, so it must be protected from the teeth of a dog and it is very undesirable to use it for a leash - this will shorten the life considerably. And with good care and accurate use of leather leash will last for many years.

Dog leashes from canvas or nylon are also quite popular. They come in very different lengths - from 1 to 15 meters. Most often they are made from tape, but recently models from a "cord" of different thickness have become popular. The advantages of leashes from the material include their water resistance (you can bathe the dog without removing ammunition), with contamination, they are easily erased, wear-resistant. Due to the large color gamut, you can choose almost any option - from a non-black black to the most inconceivable pattern of all the colors of the rainbow. A canvas leash will be the best choice if you decide to do dog training - strong, non-mark, resistant to damage. However, when choosing, remember that you should not be greedy and choose an option that is too long, since in this case the excess length will always drag along the ground, it will have to be wound up on your hand and then released. For the usual walking and training sessions, a leash with a length of 3 to 5 meters is enough.

Universal cross-hair leashes for dogs are very convenient. The re-erection usually has a length of about 2 meters and differs from the conventional leash in that this size can be adjusted. For this, he has snap hooks at both ends, which are fastened to rings located at different lengths and, thus, its length will change. Leash-rewind is very convenient in case you need to quickly fasten the dog to a pole or tree - this can be done literally in one motion. It can also be used as a swap, fastening to carbines simultaneously two pets. Re-stitching will be very useful for owners of large and strong breeds, as two rifles, buttoned on the collar at the same time, allow more secure holding of the pet. Reinforced leashes come in any material - leather, nylon or canvas.

An elegant leash for dogs in the form of a chain is rather a beautiful option for "going out" to a city or to an exhibition than for daily use. First of all, it's their size - they are not very long and it's quite difficult to walk a dog well on it. In addition, it is quite problematic to take the chain in hand, not to mention winding it up on your hand if necessary, as it can be done with a regular lead made of material or leather. Well, in winter, for obvious reasons, it is better to refuse to use ammunition from metal.

One of the most convenient options for leash for daily walks is the leash-roulette. They appeared in our pet stores not so long ago, but have already become very popular and in demand. And it's no wonder - a compact roulette casing can easily fit even in a gentle female hand, while it is very easy to operate, and the length of the leash allows the dog to walk around all nearby bushes while the owner is quietly on a clean path. This is almost an ideal option for any breed - for both a tiny toy house and a large rottweiler: the dog is always under control, and at the same time it has enough free space for walking. Roulettes are of different lengths - from 2 to 8 meters. Internally, the leash can be rope or ribbon. The belt version is more durable, but the cable version is more compact and lightweight. The only restriction for using roulette is that it can not be tied to a dog, otherwise its body can crack and break. Leash is not afraid of water, in case of wetting it is enough to dry, pulling the cable to its full length. Despite the huge selection of roulettes of different manufacturers, when buying, do not try to save - as a rule, inexpensive models break down very quickly and are no longer subject to repair. A good roulette is not cheap, but it is reliable and, if properly operated, will last you more than 10 years!
