Straight Veneers

It is not a secret that the beautiful white tooth smile is one of the most important components of an attractive image. Any modern person who wants to achieve success must strive to make his appearance even more respectable and beautiful. However, far from all, nature has rewarded with even and healthy teeth, which causes a lot of inconvenience and often causes self-doubt.

However, the modern achievements of aesthetic dentistry allow for very little time and a moderate price to achieve very impressive results. As for the existing restoration methods, one of the most effective is the vinification. This procedure consists in installing on the defective or injured teeth of the facing cosmetic inserts, which make it possible to hide all existing shortcomings. In addition, veneers can restore the shape and color of the teeth, as well as prevent damage, or the subsequent destruction of a weakened or damaged tooth enamel.

Depending on the materials used and the indications for installation, the procedure can be carried out in a direct and indirect way. With regard to the indirect technique, in this case, the veneers are created in the dental laboratory using a special equipment from the pre-recorded impression of the patient's teeth. The direct method allows to shorten the procedure time to just one visit to the dentist.

This method of restoration requires the presence of healthy and strong teeth and consists in applying to the surface of the previously prepared tooth enamel several layers of composite material. Direct veneers can eliminate existing tooth defects, in particular, chips or cracks, as well as hide the available changes in the color of the enamel.

This technique is based on adhesive technology, the use of which allows you to create a monolithic structure consisting of restoration components and a tooth. This ensures a uniform distribution of masticatory loads, which positively affects the longevity of the results.

In the process of installing direct veneers, materials with a high degree of elasticity are used. This property ensures the deformation of the restoration components in the occlusion along with the patient's natural teeth. At the same time, the tightness of the fixation is not violated at all, and there are no stratifications between the lining insert and the base.

The main disadvantage of the direct method is the high probability of increasing the sensitivity, which is due to shrinkage of the material used, whose degree is about 3%. The required thickness of direct veneers is determined by the general condition and shape of the teeth, the presence of calculus and the color shade of tooth enamel. As a consequence, the need and depth of preparation of hard tooth tissues are calculated in each case individually.

Direct veneers are established in several stages during one, maximum two visits to the doctor. Initially, the dentist removes plaque and stone, after which a color shade of the composite material is selected . Then the preparation of the restored teeth, acid etching of tooth enamel and application of adhesive material are carried out. After selecting the material for the veneering, the formation of the facing inserts is carried out. The final stage of the procedure is the finishing and polishing of the restored teeth.
