Specificity of the Idealization Concept And Its Role In Relationship Psychology

The concept of idealization is a special direction in psychology, which also affects other areas of knowledge, taking into account the experience of related theories and concepts, which aims to identify the basic ways of self-improvement of a person for his better functioning within the framework of interpersonal relations. The term idealization was introduced by Alexander Olegovich Mikhalenko in 2010 to describe all those areas of research that are now included in this concept.

The concept of idealization is happy only for its inherent features, including: its own extensive terminology base, also created to determine some of the phenomena that are not described in psychology, a persistent theory that relies on studies in several countries on the identification of the "ideal person" (in particular, Social surveys, questionnaires and others). The term "ideal" , unlike other terms, does not have a clear formulation because it is impossible to identify it with the revealed pluralism of opinions on the concept of "ideal person". Nevertheless, it combines all the concepts of the ideality of the human being, while emphasizing that the ideal is a relative concept for every particular individual. Hence, the first specific feature of the concept, expressed in uncertainty, suggests an attempt at a truly scientific consideration of this phenomenon existing in society.

The prerequisite for the emergence of the concept was the phenomenon of the ideal in the minds of people, its search, and this ideal is different from previous interpretations in other (far) directions, for example, in philosophy, although the semantics of the term have a common origin with all of them. As modern idealization approaches a pickup, it is mistakenly mixed with it, pointing to common goals and tasks of the two directions. However, initially the idealization of such a goal did not and did not seriously consider the possibility of such use.

The author of the concept, psychologist A. Mikhalenko, created the first version of his concept in 2010 and described it in his work "Ideal People". The first version was not published at the will of the author. The second version, supplemented with new data and taking into account past mistakes, will be released in 2011 under the title "Idealization: Which path will you choose?". The draft version of the work submitted for preliminary analysis does not differ significantly from the previous one; however, in addition to the basic criteria of ideality and the concepts that serve them, many contradictions that took place in the previous work are resolved in it. This indicates the structure of the concept and its logical completion at the moment.

The concept of idealization includes three main blocks of research, which are proposed to be modified by all who are ready to engage in the practical implementation of certain provisions of the concept. For this, the author divided all the work into a theoretical part and a part where some practical recommendations are provided that will speed up the process. In the theory of the structure of work in 2010, the following blocks are presented: external, internal and sexual skills - these are the largest blocks that define ideality. The fourth specific block is the category of the success of one or another person in society, which is perceived as a symbiosis of the three previous ones, since it can have a direct cause in each of them. Accordingly, each block considers sub-blocks. For example: in the block "internal" are clearly distinguishable sub-blocks, such as: knowledge, skills, character and spiritual guidelines. The latter are described in the work with reliance on many achievements of both psychology and other areas of knowledge about man. In particular, physiology, anatomy and other directions play an important role in the "external" block. The sexual experience of man, as a separate unit, is nevertheless indirectly related to the first two, although it is not their derivative. All these blocks are balanced by the notion of "proportion", which regulates the quantitative relationships between them.

Specific examples of the use of certain developments on each of the blocks in the communication process are finding feedback with some directions of the Western pick-up (in particular, some of the works of Eric von Markovic and Ross Jeffries are involved). However, the author denies acquaintance with the works of these authors during the creation of the concept, and the ideas about the struggle of the biological and social in man, explaining the sexuality of a person, a particular sex, his behavior characterizing sexual life are defined as the result of an independent study. In general, it can be observed that this concept, apart from these moments, has nothing to do with pick-up classic, and the possibility of using it for seducing the opposite sex is a natural side result that has come to the forefront in the process of the first experiments.

Thus, the concept of idealization has its own and only inherent features that distinguish it from the pickup and other concepts and theories (including schools that have torn away from the pickup itself), which determines its specificity and uniqueness. The similarity in individual provisions and the coincidence of opinions are a by-product of the work, which revealed the possibility of joint or parallel use of both directions to achieve one goal. This was emphasized by the author of the concept, and the new idealization will not only explain the nature of the ideal, but can also serve as a seduction tool for pick-up artists.
