Employees of one of the leading independent film companies - Screen Gems - in 2005 bought the screenplay of the film screenwriter-debutant Corey Goodman, which Andrew Douglas was going to implement, and Gerard Butler was supposed to star in the lead role. But due to some circumstances, the production of the film "Shepherd" was started only in 2009. The director's chair was taken by Scott Charles Stewart. And although the shooting began before the release of the Legion, Stewart's new project "The Shepherd" (film, 2011, actors-performers of the leading roles: P. Bettany, K. Urban, K. Zhigande, M. Plot

Post-apocalyptic future. The remnants of human civilization after a long war with the vampires are concentrated in cities surrounded on all sides by wasteland. In the desert there are separate settlements of people and countless vampire reservations. The world is ruled by the church. The once-demanded order of "shepherds" - vampire hunters - fell into disrepair, but ex-warriors all continue to obey the orders of the clergy and Monsignor Orelas (Christopher Plummer).

Once the vampires abduct the niece of one of the shepherds (actor Paul Bettany), he goes against the will of the church and, despite the ban, goes in search of the unhappy girl (Lily Collins). In assistants to him the lover of the kidnapped (Cam Gigandet) and the female pastor (Maggie Kew) asks. This is a brief description of the plot line of the fantastic thriller "Shepherd".
