Sergey Polikarpov - biography and creative path

Comrade on a steep fate,

As long as I have not closed my mouth ...

The poet in all ages and now

As an inconsolable orphan.

These lines the poet Polikarpov Sergey Ivanovich wrote in memory of his departed colleague, writer and poet Dmitri Blinsky. Today these words are relevant to the author himself. Sergei Polikarpov was not famous for the whole vast USSR, and now his creations are not known to everyone, but his work is permeated with sincerity, which can not bribe the reader.

Biography of the poet

Sergei was born in the village of Kuzminki Ukhtomsky district in 1932. The war he endured remained in his memory forever, as well as in the memory of other children of the war years. His pen belongs to lines that reflect all the pain from lost childhood.

And to give in the gallop heart to flare up,

To meet head wind memory

I shook it ...

Country unforgettable, childhood,

I've never lived in it, fairy-tale.

The boy was born into a family of workers and initially followed in the footsteps of his parents, graduating from the Moscow Technical School of the Ministry of Ferrous Metallurgy in 1952, then - the Zhitomir Anti-aircraft Artillery School. After graduating from the army, Sergei realized that he wanted to link his life with literature, and entered the Moscow Literary Institute. Gorky. Here, many talented people studied, among them Christmas, Yevtushenko and other famous personalities who became poets, writers, critics. Sergei Polikarpov graduated from the institute in 1963.

The creative path of the poet

Sergei has been published since 1950. His pen belongs to a lot of poems, poems, books. His creations were published in "Fiction" - a publishing house that recognized not all writers and poets. Cooperation with him was in itself the highest evaluation of the talent of Sergei Polikarpov. All his life he associated with literature and poetry, was a member of the Writers' House of Writers, worked in magazines, translated literary works from different languages of the peoples of the CCCP (Uzbek, Kazakh, Ossetian). His pen belongs to a whole list of books, among which:

  • "Strange Thunder" (a collection of poems);
  • "Continuation of the day";
  • "Souls limit the desire" (dedicated to Pushkin);
  • "Terema";
  • "The bush is burning";
  • "The sun on wheels";
  • "Ash".

Not only a talented poet, but also a worthy person, Sergei never criticized his colleagues, did not recognize gossip. Slender, like a gymnast, with a strong-willed chin, he always held himself worthy and proud. Poet Sergei Polikarpov was also a wonderful father - he was very fond of his son and tried to give him a lot of time.

The country did not know its poet ...

After the release of the film Zastava Ilyich, the country learned many names that are still known to everyone, even the unsophisticated in poetry: Rozhdestvensky, Akhmadullin, Evtushenko, Kazakova, Voznesensky and many others. These are people whose talent is recognized by the whole of the USSR precisely because of the released film. It was a kind of advertising of poets, which gave them the opportunity to become famous, declare themselves to the whole of the USSR. However, the premiere of the picture brought a bitter disappointment to another talented poet, whose potential in no way inferior to none of the above people - the poet Sergei Polikarpov.

Poetic evenings, which were the basis of the film, were a kind of competition of poets. They passed extremely successfully, young talents received their share of enthusiasm and applause, no one was booed, which happened at similar evenings. When Sergei came out and read a few of his poems, vividly, passionately, strongly, the audience exploded into ecstasy. Such success, perhaps, was not one of the poets who had spoken before (and Sergei Polikarpov read his poems one of the last). His talent was admired, he took autographs and for a long time did not want to leave the stage, they asked to read more and more. It was an undeniable, pure success.

And the more so was the realization that the creators of the film simply cut out Sergei from the film, sharing the applause that he got between the other poets. Sergei was unpleasantly amazed, because he was so impatiently waiting for the film to finally come out.

Conclusion

However, life's misery and injustice did not force Sergei Polikarpov to break with poetry, because he lived by it and never tired of creating, although sometimes he experienced creative recessions. All his life he devoted to it and wrote until his death, which came to him in 1988. The poet died in Moscow, where he was buried, but his work continues to live in the memory and hearts of the readers.
