Blok's "Twelve" poem was created immediately after the revolutionary pogroms of 1918. It reflected the real events (cold winter, bonfires at crossroads, Red Army patrols on city streets, a speech typical for those times), and views on what is happening of the author himself. And they were very original. The writer perceived the revolution as a destructive force that replaced the long-obsolete reality. The images in the poem of the Bloc "Twelve" eloquently testify to this approach of the author to the events. "Burzhui", "lousy dog", "ladies in astrakhan" - all these are symbols of the old world.
