Rossini's cocktail was not invented by him. It appeared only in the middle of the 20th century and was first tested in Venice, in the famous Harry's Bar. The low-alcohol mix was named after the composer as a fan of his talents - both musical and culinary.

Rossini cocktail: recipe and its embodiment

Cook it with love and by all means. At least in a sign of respect for the composer, who was so thrilled about cooking. The first step to getting a drink is to make a strawberry puree. Fresh berries, at a rate of 75 grams per glass, washed, strained through a colander and get wet with a paper towel. Of these, air mush is made with the addition of a few drops of lemon juice, which is put in the cold for at least an hour. If the strawberry is unsweetened, it is allowed to add sugar at the time of the introduction of the juice.

Then the mashed potatoes are transferred to a tall wine glass and filled with sparkling wine. Ideally, you should use Spumante Brut, Proseco, Asti, but it will not spoil the taste, and good champagne is semi-dry or brut. The volume of wine is about 120 milliliters. One of the most famous dishes "invented" by the composer has a funny story related to the origin of the name. While at a dinner in the Parisian Cafe Anglais, who was anxious about the cooking of Rossini, he requested the preparation of the dish under his supervision. The cook was forced to cook in the room, which was viewed from behind the table, where the composer waited for dinner. Disgorged by the cavils and teachings of the maestro, the chief was indignant, to which he replied: "Et alors, tournez le dos!" In translation it means: "If so, turn back." The last two words and the article also gave birth to the name "Rossini's Tourned".

The recipe does not contain anything complicated, but the result is amazing. A little less than half a kilogram of beef fillet is cut across the fibers, salted, peppered and fights a bit. Approximately 200 g of white bread is sliced. In warmed creamy (and this is a prerequisite) butter is browned loaf, the same is done with meat. The beef is placed on toast, a piece of liver pate is put on it, on top is a lemon slice, a quarter of a tomato and a sprig of parsley.
