Robert Trujillo - a popular musician, bass player of the "Metallica" group and a good family man

Robert Trujillo, an American musician of Mexican descent, was born on October 23, 1964 in Santa Monica, California. His childhood passed in his native city, the boy played football with his peers, found new friends, was preparing to enter the school. When Robert was ten years old, his parents gave him a guitar. From this day on the young Trujillo stopped going out on the street, sat for hours and sorted out the strings. Robert attended school classes regularly, but after classes he ran home and, after a quick snack, took in his hands the favorite six-string. Little by little, he learned to play, and the guitar became for him a true companion of life for all subsequent years.

Carier start

In 1989, Robert Trujillo joined the Suicidal Tendencies group, which in translation means "prone to suicide." The musicians played classic punk rock. Robert Trujillo participated in the creative process until 1997, then moved to the group Infectious Grooves, whose name translates as "grave infection." In 2002, the guitarist worked for a while in the Black Label Sosiety (heavy rock), and then was invited by Ozzy Osbourne for joint performances. Since 2003, he is the permanent bass player of Metallica.

About how the musician was recruited, the documentary film Some Kind of Monster was made. After Robert Trujillo (photo of him posted on the page) established himself in the Metallica band, he tried to work out his own image and manner of behavior on stage. To somehow stand out, the bass player chose for himself an outrageous style, incessantly grimaced, built terrible faces, moved in a special way on the stage - sideways and convulsively. In general, he managed to create his own methods for public outrage, although it was still far from Ozzy Osbourne, biting bats on the stage of the head.

Release albums

Sales of CDs with guitarist Trujillo's records were quite successful, the first album with his participation, which was recorded by Suicidal Tendencies, sold out in a million copies and was awarded a gold medal. Until 1994, the musicians released five albums that were recognized as successful. In 1992, "potential suicide" changed their style, creativity was dominated by heavy metal. Not everything worked out, and Robert Trujillo left the band together with vocalist Mike Muir.

The first full-length album with the participation of bass guitarist Trujillo was Death Magnetic, released in 2008 as part of Metallica. Robert actively participated in the writing of new songs, thanks to his efforts the band returned to its former classical sound, lost earlier. The album Death Magnetic immediately took the first line of the charts in the US and England, permanently settled there, and later was recognized as platinum. The sound of the bass guitar, as well as the work of the bassist himself, were specially noted. The style of Robert corresponded to the old "Metallica", causing nostalgic feelings among fans of the group.

Virtuosity

The technique of the game of Robert Trujillo created its colorful sound and fell to the taste of a wide audience. Gradually, the bass player began to sing along with the soloists, and then joined the backing vocals of "Metallica". The deep timbre of Trujillo's voice harmonized well with his high-speed and rhythmic sound-recording technique. Now the musicians got the opportunity to sing all the old songs in a new way.

Cooperation

Robert Trujillo, the bass player of the "Metallica" group, soon gained wide popularity, he was invited to the session recording. He worked with Jerry Cantrell of Alice in Chains, Glenn Tipton of Judas Priest, Zacchke Wilde of Black Label Sosiety. Twice took part in the recordings of Ozzy Osbourne's albums, several times performed in his concerts.

Participating in numerous tours, recording discs, rehearsing for several hours a day, Robert Trujillo gained invaluable experience. Being part of "Metallica" since 2003, he continuously toured, and in his spare time from the tour worked on the creation of new albums.

Robert Trujillo: family

The musician married late, at the time when he met his chosen one, he turned thirty-nine years old. However, the guitarist himself believes that his family is Metallica, he is all in music, constantly goes on tour, together with other musicians he creates new songs. Nevertheless, Robert Trujillo and his wife Chloe live together. She is an artist and an art critic. Their acquaintance began with the fact that Chloe painted Robert's guitar, burned the calendar of the Aztecs to the instrument body. A young woman supports her husband in everything, goes with him on tour and actively participates in the creation of scenic images.

Musician Robert Trujillo, whose personal life is quite successful, has two charming children - Tay's son and daughter Lou, who like to watch father's performances on TV. Each of them dreams someday to touch the bass guitar, which is always in a case, and getting close to it is not easy.
