The composition of this finished product contains such substances as kaolin clay and sand, as well as chamotte. Has an excellent indicator of resistance to heat. About the product "Terracotta"

What are the "Terracotta" mixtures? These are dry solutions ready for use. They are used for laying objects that will later be subjected to high temperature effects. The qualitative and factory production of this company has two types of packages: 20- and 25-kg bags. The very same package is a four-layer bag. It is worth noting that the territory of the Russian Federation is the company "Terracott" is the largest supplier of mixtures that are used in stove laying. Rules for the use of mixtures "Terracotta"

There are several rules that must be followed when using finished products from this category:

  1. It is very important to know that it is necessary to mix ready-made mixtures only with the help of a mixer. This is one of the most distinctive indicators, since homemade mixtures can be kneaded and hand-made.
  2. After the finished products are already frozen, it is forbidden to knead it again.
  3. It is important to remember that the mix of "Terracotta" should be kneaded in such a volume that all it was consumed in one hour.
  4. The subsequent laying of the furnace from this substance must be carried out at a temperature not lower than 10 degrees.
  5. In the finished mixtures various plasticizers are used, which prevent the solution from drying too quickly. On the one hand, this excludes the possibility that the finished surface will begin to crack, and on the other hand it increases the time required for drying. In addition, it is possible to warm the oven made with "Terracotta" mixes no earlier than three days after laying out.
  6. There are also ready-made mixtures for furnishing chimneys. They have a special marking.
  7. It is important to know that it is possible to revet the oven, which is built using ready-made mixtures, only 20-30 days after it has been effectively used.
  8. A small inconvenience may be that after the first furnace of such a furnace on its walls appear high. However, they are easily cleaned with a damp cloth. Wash them after the oven has cooled down.

Advantages of ready mixes

Heat-resistant mixture "Terracotta" is a dry mortar that is intended for laying objects that will subsequently be subject to heating. This solution is manufactured using classical furnace technology. The composition of this mixture includes kaolin clay, dried and crushed, as well as chamotte (ceramic) crumb. The temperature that this mixture withstands is 1300 degrees Celsius. It is important to know that the mortar gets strength only when it is fired. And this means that after the completion of all masonry processes, you must wait 48 hours. After this period, it is necessary to melt the furnace by 70-80% of its full filling and maintain the combustion process in this state up to 5-6 hours. In order to avoid such inconvenience, like shedding the mixture after masonry, experts recommend carrying out decorative plastering or facing the furnace.

Mixture of clay and chamotte "Terracotta"

The composition of this finished mixture includes such ingredients as kaolin clay of higher purification, sand, and also kaolinic chamotte. Like other mixtures, this differs in that it can withstand temperatures of up to 1300 degrees Celsius, and is also an environmentally friendly dry solution.

To use this type of mixture, two types of surface are recommended, such as ceramic or fireclay bricks. In order for the mixture to take a good quality, it is necessary to prepare a substrate for its application. To do this, you should completely clean the brick from possible traces of old paint, debris, dirt, dust, old plaster and other. In addition, before applying the masonry mix "Terracotta", it is recommended to hold the brick under water for three minutes.
