"Ladushka" - Lada-99

The domestic car, designed and manufactured in Togliatti, was a favorite car from buyers. The full name of the model is Lada-21099, or VAZ-21099.

The four-door sedan differs from previous cars with a length that is 200 mm longer due to the rear overhang. It completes the 1st generation of the Samara family. They produced cars in 1990-2004. In 1996 this car was replaced by Lada-110 by popularity. But, despite this, the Lada-99 in the CIS open spaces, as before, is quite prestigious as a machine that is among the inexpensive and practical. Until the end of 2011, it was collected at the Zaporozhye Automobile Plant ZAZ in Ukraine. The assembly was conducted from the Russian components, and the machine was called "ZAZ-21099".

The car Lada-99 all the advantages of the family "Samara" - excellent speed, it is stable and easy to manage on the highway with different cover. VAZ-21099 is a sedan with a drive to the front wheels, a conventional engine capacity of 1.5 liters and a five-speed manual gearbox. There is a model VAZ-21099i with injector (distributed injection of fuel) by a highly efficient 1.5-liter engine. It is responsible for the toxicity of exhaust gases to international requirements (EURO-2).

Modifications of "Lada-99":

- with carburetor: - 21099-00 "standard", -210992-01 "norm", -21099-02 "lux";

- with an injector motor: - 21099-20 "standard", -210992-21 "norm", -21099-22 "lux".

The injector engine has four cylinders, the volume is 1,499 liters. Fuel consumes "Lada-99" very economically - at a speed of 90 km / h, the consumption is 5.9 l / 100 km, at 120 km / h - 8.0, and within the city - 8.8. Engine power is 78 kW at 5400 rpm.

Exterior and interior is also different:

- non-traditional radiator grille with a new lining;

- lack of a plastic mask on the wings and hood;

- in the cabin a new "high" instrument panel. In addition, a tachometer is installed on it, switches for electric lifting of windows are illuminated, switches for blocking doors;

- the angle of the steering wheel is changed;

- safety belts are adjusted according to the height of the fastening;

- a new material for upholstery;

- For driving in bad weather - fog lights;

- On-board monitoring of the operation of certain nodes.

The placement of instruments on the instrument panel is original. This panel in the subsequent models "Lada-Samara" has become traditional.

And now about the exotic! This is a modification of VAZ-21099-91. Its highlight is the rotary piston engine VAZ-415. Aerodynamics VAZ-21099 is the last century, but under its hood is a small motor, or rather - a motor. And the comparison with the usual "piston" is not a plus for the latter - its rated power is 140 hp. (6000 rpm), and the weight is reduced by 2-3 times. It is said that the craftsmen squeezed the correct adjustment of the intake and exhaust it and up to 217 horsepower. Prior to the first overhaul, this engine runs 125,000 km. Fuel consumes within the city limits of no more than 12-14 liters per 100 km, this is an alternative to the forced "piston". Therefore, VAZ-21099-91 with such an engine was called "wolf in sheep's clothing". This RAP can be installed on all VAZ cars from 2108 to 2119, except VAZ-2116.

The appearance of the machine can be both traditional factory, and extravagant.
