Phalaenopsis disease is the result of improper care

The manifestation of diseases or damage by pests is the result of violation of the conditions of phalaenopsis care. If the plant is competently grown, its roots are well developed, the regime of irrigation and feeding is observed, then one should not be afraid of diseases. It easily burns overfed and pampered with orchids.

Most often beginners of florists are frightened by withering of leaves, which is provoked by insufficient watering and high temperature of the content. These problems are related to noncommunicable diseases. They are solved quite simply - by adjusting the care and cutting of the affected leaf.

Phalaenopsis is watered similarly to other indoor plants, but trying not to fill the growth point. If water has got to the center of the outlet, then it must be removed, you can blow it out or get wet with a napkin. If this is not done, then rot may develop. To water an orchid follows in summer time in 2-3 days, in the winter - once a week by constant warm water, it is more preferable boiled, and it is better distilled (the ground will not be salted). The method of immersion of the pot in a basin with water can also be used to water phalaenopsis. The photo below shows this process.

Phalaenopsis diseases are divided into fungal, bacterial and viral.

Diseases of fungal nature are manifested in the form of spots, often with sporulation. For the treatment apply foundation.

Black rot is revealed in decay of roots, less often in leaves. Damaged parts must be cut with a sterile tool, and the places of cuts should be covered with ground cinnamon. Transplant the diseased specimen into a new disinfected soil and isolate it from others for the time of recovery.

Fusarium rot begins with yellowing of leaves with the acquisition of dark gray hues. The leaves become soft, friable, covered with spores of pink fungi. The affected leaves twist around the edges, the central shoot rot and die. Treatment: spraying and pour 0.2% thrice a day with foundation. After 10 days, the procedure must be repeated.

Anthracnose manifests itself in the form of brown spots with black patches on the leaves and brown streaks on the edges of the leaves. The affected leaf acquires a mosaic color and dies. Control measures: remove the affected area, sprinkle with fungicide 3 times at intervals of 10 days, cut irrigation.

Phalaenopsis diseases of bacterial nature affect the plant in excess watering, are caused by phytopathogenic bacteria. They, as a rule, are accompanied by the formation of mucus. In severe lesions, it is recommended to use human antibiotics, for example, tetracycline in a dosage of 500 mg per 1 liter of water. Treatments must be done at least 5 every 3 days. In the early stages of phalaenopsis, one-time treatment with furacilin of the entire plant surface, including soil, is effective. The tablet of the drug must be crushed, pour 500 ml of water, boil, cool the solution. If the rot is found in the lower part, then the plant can be greased with a green.

Phalenopsis diseases are often provoked by pests that spread the pathogenic flora. When pests are detected, measures must be taken without delay. On orchids attack spider mites, scutes, worms. Coping with them will help the actor, actor, phytoverm (the advantage of the latter, it is odorless).

Look after your pets well, and they will rejoice in a healthy view and long flowering, and later, perhaps, babies on peduncles.
