The Boeing 737-700 aircraft is one of the brightest representatives of the Next Generation series and is part of the family of narrow-bodied airliners with two engines from the American manufacturer of the same name. It is designed to transport passengers on medium and short routes. Currently, this aircraft, along with its several modifications, continues to be produced and actively used by many world airlines.

The passenger airliner Boeing 737-700 is built on the basis of the modification 737-300. On the beginning of its design, representatives of the manufacturer company officially announced in late 1993. The main reason for the creation of the novelty was its desire to compete with the European analogue - Airbus A319. The first buyer of the vessel was Southwest Airlines, which during the first few months of 1994 issued an order for 63 copies of it. The serial model was presented to the general public in December 1996, and two months later the test flight of the aircraft took place. After a series of successful tests, in November 1997, the aircraft received all the relevant permits with certificates, which allowed it to be put into operation and begin mass production. This model continues to be assembled in our time.

Technical equipment

The Boeing 737-700 is equipped with two two-circuit turbofan engines with an electronic control system, each of which draws about 91.6 kN. Compared with the engines used in previous versions, they are more economical and less noise. In addition, the developers have installed on the aircraft wing of a larger size, which boasts the best aerodynamics. American designers also modified the tail unit. All this in the complex allowed us to achieve good technical indicators. In particular, the cruising speed of the model is 925 km / h, while the operating ceiling is 12,500 meters. The range of the Boeing 737-700 flight depends on its workload and fuel stock. Ideally, it is equal to 5,920 kilometers. The take-off weight of the vessel is 69.4 tons. For its normal operation, runways are required, the length of which is no less than 2040 meters.

The model Boeing 737-700 is equipped with a complex of digital avionics EFIS, which is supplied by Honeywell (USA). All necessary information is sent to pilots through six multifunctional liquid crystal monitors. In addition, it is allowed to install a collimator indicator on the windshield in the cockpit.

Scheme Boeing 737-700 in the two-class configuration is borrowed from the modification of 757 and provides for the possibility of simultaneous transportation of 126 passengers. In this indicator the liner is completely analogous to its predecessor. The dimensions of the passenger compartment in length, width and height, respectively, are 24x3.53x2.13 meters. There are airlines that, due to the compact arrangement of seats, try to increase the capacity of their planes to the detriment of comfort. In the case of this model, a maximum of 149 people can be accommodated on board simultaneously, without taking into account the crew members.

The best places here, according to numerous reviews of travelers from all over the world, as in all other planes, are in the business class, where passengers are provided with a number of additional services, as well as in the tail section (except for the last row). Modifications

In the whole history of the existence of the Boeing 737-700, a number of modifications have been made from the production hangars of the manufacturer. First of all, the developers offered the air carriers an administrative version of the liner, designed to transport from thirty to fifty passengers for a distance of up to 11 thousand kilometers in a comfortable cabin. For this purpose, the aircraft was equipped with additional fuel tanks and received a modernized wing. Modification 737-700C provides for the possibility of a simple conversion of a passenger liner into a cargo version. At the request of one of the Japanese companies in 2006, American designers created a version of this aircraft with a longer flight range. The novelty was called 737-700ER. When it was created, the developers borrowed a lot of technical solutions, well proven in Boeing Business Jet. Based on the model, several aircraft variants designed for the needs of the air force were also built.
