Novokuznetsk Drama Theater: history, repertoire, troupe

Novokuznetsk Drama Theater exists more than eighty years. Today, in his repertoire of the classic in its original form and in new readings, plays by contemporary playwrights and fairy tales for children.

History of the theater

Novokuznetsk Drama Theater was opened in 1933. Its first director and director was Lina Samborskaya. Initially, the repertoire included only the classics. The first performance was the play "Intervention" for Lev Slavin. In 1963, the theater received a new building, built for him on a special project, in which he lives today. The season premiere

The playbill of the Novokuznetsk Drama Theater and this season offers the premiere of the play "Forest" based on the play by A.N. Ostrovsky. In the production there are several stories of different people. The plot tells of a rich lady, who spends an affair with a young schoolboy. About a poor girl, a homeless woman, who dreams of a successful marriage. About the landowner, who wants to buy forests at a cheap price. And also about two provincial actors, one of which is a comedian, and the second a tragedian. Each character has his own dream, which has a downside.
