Noise isolation of arches with own hands

One of the most annoying factors that arise when driving a car is the noise of the suspension coming from under the wheel arches. Now it's a small thing. We dip into a container with mastic and bitumen brush and process our surface. It is possible to apply the material in several layers, this will only improve the sound-absorbing quality of the arches.

What about the fenders?

We also treat them with bitumen using a similar technology. It should be noted that it is not necessary to use soundproofing for arches expanders by their own hands, since the result from this will be practically minimal. Thus, bitumen will serve as an acoustic barrier, thereby repelling all external noises emanating from under the running gear of the vehicle. It should also be noted that if you apply a vibration isolation material, pre-treat it with "Splen", which will prolong the effectiveness and properties of this material.

What will we get as a result?

Sound insulation of arches, equipped with its own hands, is a very effective process, after all, after all the above works, the impact of noise coming from the road, and in particular of the car suspension, will decrease by at least 20-30 percent.
