Puppet theater (Nizhny Novgorod) has existed for almost 90 years. His repertoire includes performances for young children, and for schoolchildren, as well as for adults.

History of the theater

A lot of different troupes now have Nizhny Novgorod. The puppet theater was opened here in 1929. Its creators were Tatyana Ivanovna and George Apolinarevich Yavorivsky. The theater wandered for a long time on other scenic stages and only in 1954 received its building. And in 1979 for him was built a special room, in which it is located until now.

In 1944 the theater was headed by actress NA Sokoloverova. She was the creator of the very first performance, in which the actors worked with cane dolls.

The first puppet show for adults is dated 1956. She was a great success and remained in the repertoire for 40 years.

Today the director of the theater is Alexander Sergeevich Garyanov. He headed the troupes of Magnitogorsk and Saratov. And in 2005 he came to Nizhny Novgorod. Puppet theater today, as before, is very popular.

He takes part in festivals, collaborates with modern playwrights, composers and artists. The artists successfully toured. Some puppets of the theater participated in world exhibitions and were awarded medals.

New Year

This season the New Year performance in the puppet theater (Nizhny Novgorod) was called "The magic of New Year's bells." The main heroes of the holiday were three clowns - December, January and February. They introduced boys and girls to circus strong men, with whom they could be measured by force. Children were waiting for dances, dances and songs at the Christmas tree. They had to meet with the wizard. To visit a guest at Water and Nightingale the robber.
