Museum "Bryansk Forest" It's time to come back from the ashes

Not surprisingly, it was in this city that the Bryansk Forest Museum was established. For his sake, many tourists specially visited the city. About the museum

The Museum "Bryansk Forest" was created in honor of the millennium of the city of Bryansk. The site was chosen summer site in the park of AK Tolstoy. Exposition

Within the museum in Bryansk three halls were created. The first was called central, the second was scientific and information, and the third was dioramnym. A feature of the central hall was the presence of two schematic maps of the flora and fauna of the Bryansk region, made of gypsum. Also here you could see stuffed animals and photographs of representatives of the flora and fauna of Bryansk. In the second room was kept the Red Book of the Bryansk region. There were four large-format oil paintings, and a terrain model with erosion control measures. During the excursion in this room, a presentation and video films were shown. Four ribbon-like paintings were installed on the territory of the diorama hall. Each of them corresponded to a certain time of the year. Also to the attention of guests were presented stuffed birds and animals. Predatory, hoofed, furry - all were collected in this room. To enhance the perception effect, various special effects were applied, creating artificial lightning, thunder, wind, sunrise and other natural phenomena.

Also, the museum "Bryansk Forest" in Tolstoy Park had its musical zest. At the end of the tour the guests were delighted with the forest show, staged on the fairy tale "Twelve Months" by Marshak according to the vision of the creators of the "Bryansk Forest". In 2008 the museum reached a new level. In addition to the permanent exhibition, we began to hold shifts here. One of them was the exposition "Bryansk wolf". Within the framework of this event, the museum exhibited over 300 wolf shows, made of crystal, fabric, ceramics and other materials. Unfortunately, this exposition together with the main one died from the fire of 2009.

Fire

The calendar was March 7, 2009. The clock showed 22:46. It was at this moment that the Emergency Situations Ministry received a signal about a fire alarm in Tolstoy Park. After four minutes, several offices were already in place. The fire enveloped a huge area, for which he was immediately assigned a difficult category. A huge number of units of special equipment was sent to the place. In less than two hours, the fire was localized, and in four hours and ten minutes and completely eliminated. This operation was carried out by forces of 60 people and 16 special vehicles. Fortunately, there were no casualties or deaths from the fire. But the building received terrible damage. He completely burnt a roof area of 200 m 2 , burnt the walls around the perimeter. Virtually all property was destroyed. As a result, the investigation revealed that the fire was triggered by arson. Save the museum "Bryansk Forest" failed, so by the end of April 2009 it was completely eliminated.

Revival of the museum

The idea of reviving the first forest museum in Russia came to the mind of the staff of the Bryansk reserve. The decision to restore it has already been taken, and now the city administration is considering the beginning of consideration of projects for construction. Specialists of the reserve have their own project and, as officials say, it is worthy to be realized. Perhaps, very soon the museum will again cordially open the doors for its visitors.
