Professor Xavier entrusted the hero, now called Cyclops, to manage a team of young mutants. After intense training for several years, this mutant became a real fighting tactician and began to show the talent of an outstanding strategist.

Scott Summers (X-Men) is a mutant that is subject to destruction with the help of powerful energy rays that are projected from his eyes. The character draws supernatural power from the sunlight. His nickname Cyclops hero acquired by using monolithic glasses, made and ruby quartz. The latter do not allow Summers to incinerate everything on which his gaze rushes.

Cyclops is immune to the impact of its own unique ability. His body is surrounded by a natural psionic field that safely absorbs destructive rays that are released from the eyes. In combat, the character uses the device to change the intensity of his own energy weapons.

Despite his status as a strict and sullen loner, Cyclops had several novels with other owners of extraordinary abilities. The bulk of his relationship with the heroines of the universe of the "X-Men" ended unsuccessfully.
