"Moville": what is it and what is it used for?

Corrosion on the car body is a real problem for many car owners. For example, if you need to save the car and, accordingly, protect the body metal from atmospheric corrosion processes. Today, there are several options for such protection - it is a passive method, active, and also transformative.

In the case of an active method, special protective compounds are used, which create stable joints on the metal surface that protect the body from corrosion processes. One of the most famous and popular means of such a plan is the drug "Movil". What it is? It is a mixture of motor oils, drying oil, and also inhibiting additives. Also in the composition there are solvents - white spirit or kerosene. This preparation forms on the metal surface a dense combination film that does not let oxygen and water pass through. And these are the main factors, because of which iron rusts.

Moscow-Vilnius

"Movil" Many car owners use, however, not all of them know that this is a domestic development. This composition was developed by a group of scientists from Vilnius and Moscow. At that time for the anti-corrosion treatment in the USSR used "Tektil-309", developed by specialists from Sweden. "Tektil-309" was especially popular at the AvtoVAZ plant - "Movil", created by Soviet scientists, in many ways surpassed the Swedish tool.

Operating principle

Anticorrosion or preservative "Movil" has the principle of action, based on the maximum complete sealing, as well as the insulation of metals. This makes it possible to be in close contact with air and moisture, which are the main cause of corrosion on the bodies. In addition, thanks to the inhibitor, this composition immediately after the application begins to actively fight the foci of corrosion.

For motorists this is a big plus. Treatment "Movile" can be carried out without the need to remove the bituminous mastic. When the compound is applied to such insulating materials, it densely covers the surface and passes through the protective layer directly to the metal through various cracks - this is a guaranteed metal insulation against corrosion. If the corrosion processes are already started, then with the help of "Movil" you can stop the growth of rust.

If you need to put the car on a long parking lot, experts recommend maximum in all places to process the body with this composition, then to take the car from the parking place in its original form after the expiration of the storage period. But when using this preservative, you need to remember that it is incompatible with various synthetic-based mastics. If the "Moville" begins to interact with such mastics, their loosening will begin, followed by peeling off the metal surface.

It is not recommended and even forbidden to use the drug if there is a risk of its getting on rubber parts. Because of the substances that make up the composition, the rubber will quickly come to complete disrepair.

Advantages of "Movil"

The agent can be applied both to unpainted metal surfaces, and to any coatings treated with varnishes and paints. After processing the metal, there is no need for drying. As a result of application, a reliable protective layer is created, which not only does not let moisture pass to the metal, but also repels it. Among other advantages - the absence of a negative effect on the metal and any paint. All this makes the tool quite effective in the fight against corrosion. Many motorists successfully use the "Moville". What it is? This is a powerful weapon to deal with rust.

This drug is simply indispensable when it is necessary to defeat foci of corrosion in hard-to-reach areas of the machine. It differs from other means of its high fluidity - the substance easily penetrates even into small cracks and cracks.

How to prepare a car for processing?

First you need to prepare the surface, and then apply directly to the "Moville". What it is? This is a simple preparation that will make the drug even more effective.

First of all, the car must be thoroughly cleaned. If it is planned to process the bottom, then it is washed when the machine is on the lift. It is best to use a high pressure washer with hot water. After the procedure, the body needs to be dried well. Further, various defects that are on the surface of the metal are eliminated. Loose rust should be removed. Then apply an anticorrosive preparation. When the agent dries, a protective film will form with a layer from 40 to 60 microns.

How to use "Moville"

To get maximum of this preservative, you need to know how to apply it properly. Processing of metal is carried out with the help of a special tool - this is a gun through which the drug is sprayed.

Thanks to the spraying under pressure, "Movil" penetrates into any cracks and cavities that have already been corroded or those that need to be protected. Open areas can be processed with an ordinary brush.

After treating the area, degrease the surface. It is best to spray the drug at temperatures of 10 to 30 degrees. More effective option, if it is applied several, better 2-3 layers. It is important that the "Moville" be applied in a uniform layer. Initially, the trunk or doors are processed. Then look how it spreads. After that, it will be easier to understand how to work further so that the product does not drip onto the ground.

The processing of a square meter of metal in one layer will require about 400 g of "Movil". The drying time is about 2 hours. The product can be supplied as a mass in a plastic container. Also there is a "Movil-aerosol", but the minus of such a package is a small volume.

If the product accidentally falls on the paint, it will be very difficult to clean it. In case of drops on the paint, they are removed immediately (until they are frozen). If there are any caps on the body, it is better to remove them so that the anti-corrosion agent can freely enter any places.

How to choose the right "Moville"?

So, the market offers a lot of products with a common name - "Moville". What it is? Many manufacturers offering a product for protection against corrosion, refer to their products as "Moville". Is it worth buying this tool? Definitely yes. It is important to know what is the effectiveness and quality of this or that remedy. You should not save and buy the cheapest option.

«Movil 2M»

This is a product of domestic production. The company is located in Moscow. The drug is supplied in a can. After processing, a thin transparent and fairly uniform film is created on the surface. This product can withstand the Russian winter well. In the event of a drop of this composition falling on the paint, they are easily removed by gasoline. It impregnates rust and has an average fluidity. The product well displaces the inlet, but the protective layer is not too strong, which means that it is ineffective. Sooner or later rust will manifest itself. Motorists say that it's best not to use it - it's a waste of money.

"Movil 1"

This is the "St. Petersburg" formula. The drug is resistant to low temperatures, has good fluidity, well impregnates rust. With the Moscow reagents, the drug coped surprisingly well - it is a reliable choice.

"Movil 2"

The drug is produced in Lithuania. It would seem that this should be the same, the real Moville. Its application shows that it has good fluidity, high level of impregnation of rust. And in everything else - this is not the best option, but probably even worse. Tests show that under the influence of salt, 150 hours are enough for rust to eat up the entire surface area treated with this Lithuanian remedy.

"Movil" long-drying

This tool is better than "Movil" ordinary and any of the anticorrosion protection products offered on the market. In the case of conventional drugs, it is considered a minus smell. The consistency of this remedy is not thick, but not excessively liquid. On the surface after treatment a strong film is formed. The manufacturer recommends applying the product in several layers using a brush. It is imperative that they dry up. The difference between this product and all the others is its elasticity. It will not fall off even under mechanical influences.

"Movil" with a rust converter

These funds are offered in the form of aerosols and liquids. The task of the product is not only protection against corrosion, but also the transformation of existing foci. But there is one nuance - in fact, it is no different in its composition from the usual "Moville". Such products are referred to as film-forming inhibited oil-based formulations. It penetrates deeply into the pores of corrosion, and the converter transforms corrosion into a form of steel that does not lend itself to rust. In addition, a protective film is formed, which prevents further oxidation.

Conclusion

An anti-rust treatment agent is a very useful solution for your car. This will significantly extend the life of the body and maintain the original, factory condition of the car.
