Motorcycle K-750: specifications and photos. Soviet motorcycles. Motorcycle "Dnepr K-750"

The history of the development of motorcycle construction goes back to the distant 1885, when the famous German engineer Gottlieb Daimler designed a simple motorbike equipped with a small kerosene motor. The frame and wheels of the first motorcycle were wooden, and its speed barely reached 12 kilometers per hour.

In the Soviet Union motorcycles appeared in the early thirties and, in fact, they were copied from German counterparts. The domestic motorcycle IZH-350 was an exact copy of the German DKW NZ-350, other models of the Kiev plant repeated the parameters of Wanderer, a German motorcycle manufactured by BMW.

Production start

The K-750 motorcycle is the first model with which the production of two-wheeled vehicles began. The weight of the whole structure was 318 kilograms, the engine with a volume of 745 cubic meters / cm developed a capacity of 25 liters. from. The motorcycle was equipped with a four-speed gearbox, the rotation on the drive wheel was transmitted with a propeller shaft, which provided a fairly smooth stroke.

The brake system consisted of two reliable drum mechanisms with flexible cable drives. Twenty-liter fuel tank allowed to overcome the distance of 350 kilometers without refueling. The fuel consumption in this case was not more than 6 liters per 100 kilometers. Motorcycle K-750 from the very beginning of production was considered a successful development, which did not require any changes in the design. Well thought-out assemblies and units worked without interruption, and their arrangement made it possible to easily make all the necessary adjustments that were required during operation.

In terms of reliability, the K-750 is far ahead of its predecessor, the M-72, and the German prototype Wanderer is hopelessly behind it in its patency and overclocking dynamics. A quick two-cylinder engine with an opposing arrangement of pistons in hundredths of a second gained momentum, hardly restraining power. 26 horsepower is more than enough to disperse, and for a long trip. Motorcycle "Dnepr K-750" - one of the modifications of the basic model, more economical and high-speed - was in high demand and was delivered to military units.

The additional drive to the wheelchair provided high maneuverability, as well as an unprecedentedly smooth ride. In the sixties of the last century, the K-750 became the most popular vehicle in the entire territory of the USSR. Over the entire production period - from 1959 to 1967 - more than 100 thousand motorcycles were produced, and later the K-750 modifications were made in large batches.

K-750 with a stroller developed a speed of up to 90 kilometers per hour. Smoothness of the stroke was achieved due to the rubber springs, mounted under the stroller in three points, and also thanks to hydraulic shock absorbers on all wheels. Essential in the production of K-750 was its almost one hundred percent unification with aggregates and motorbike assemblies produced at the Irbit plant. The conveyor of the Kiev plant did not stop for a minute, the spare parts were delivered in time by rail. At that time, marketing as such was not, however, uninterruptedly operated by the Soviet supply structures.

Modernization

After a while the model K-750 was modernized and became known as K-750M. The difference was considerable. The front fork was replaced with a telescopic fork, more modern. A new gearbox with a closed-type foot-operated shift gear was installed, the modernized propeller shaft could be adjusted along the length.

Further improvement of the motorcycle concerned the engine, the lower-valve design of which did not allow increasing the power by increasing the combustion chamber. The design of the engine was changed radically, the valves moved upward, the volume of the cylinders remained the same, and the engine power increased to 32 liters. from. Stable power was provided by 5200 rpm, which is a relatively low indicator.

At the same time, the durability and reliability of the motor were improved. The prefabricated crankshaft was replaced with cast-iron, the connecting rod bearing was changed to babbittal lords from "Moskvich-407". The resource of the crank-connecting rod has increased to 40 thousand kilometers, and repair has become much easier, since it is quite easy to replace the liners for the next repair size. In the process of upgrading the engine, two oil-removal rings were added to the pistons . Later, the cylinder heads were replaced, the new ones became more ribbed, the degree of cooling increased. The result is a powerful, efficient engine. Motorcycle K-750 has become more fast and maneuverable.

The speed of the motorcycle has increased to 105 kilometers per hour. The fuel consumption decreased by 200 grams and amounted to 5.8 liters per hundred kilometers at a speed of 60 km / h. The economy of the engine has become stable-constant, thanks to the installed automatic ignition timing system.

Using

Motorcycles K-750 were widely used in the internal affairs bodies. In the 50-60s of the last century, motorcycles with a stroller were the main police patrol transport. In private hands, the K-750 was infrequent until the mass destruction of cars from the army and police units in the early seventies. Virtually all decommissioned motorcycles went retail and were sold out by the population.

How much is a K-750 motorcycle

Models produced in the 50's and 60's are rarities and are in demand among collectors. But they also represent value and as a reliable vehicle. Therefore, the answer to the question "how much is a K-750 motorcycle" is not. Prices fluctuate in a fairly wide range 0 from 12 to 150 thousand rubles (depending on the year of production and technical condition).
