Chickenpox in adults

Who among us does not know that chickenpox is better to be ill in childhood? Even if there are people who will deny this, problems from chickenpox at a respectable age - much more and they are much more dangerous. Chickenpox in adults is a real problem!

Varicella - an acute infectious disease caused by the herpes virus (type 3), which is transmitted by airborne droplets. The virus of chickenpox is quite intrusive, quickly spreading in enclosed spaces and therefore children in the garden are always sick in groups. Another source of infection of children can become an adult who even has no idea about what is the carrier.

So, chickenpox in adults often goes much longer - the incubation period can exceed the prescribed 1-3 weeks. Most often an adult has no idea how and where to catch this disease.

The symptoms of chickenpox in adults are absolutely identical to the signs in children. The first heralds of chickenpox are skin rashes, which are accompanied by very high fever. If you have not had chickenpox as a child, be ready to see one day on your body, terrible vesicles bursting and forming ulcers in the same place. Together with chills and fever, a strong itch in the area of the rash will come. Be extremely careful not to aggravate the situation by combing the inflamed parts of the body! Also, do not try to satisfy the itch with hot water - with windmills, it is contraindicated to wet the skin.

Needless to say, chickenpox in adults is much worse than in children. The body is literally covered first with a rash, then with ulcers, it itches and looks just disgusting. A very high temperature only worsens the general condition of a person. However, as an adult, a chickenpox patient must understand the complexity of the situation.

How to treat chickenpox in adults, you ask? In exactly the same way as in children. A prerequisite is quarantine - this is necessary in order not to infect other people!

Be prepared for the fact that your doctor will prescribe you a treatment for greenery - like that of small children. There is little pleasure in going into speckles, however, while you are in quarantine, few will be able to please themselves with such a spectacle.

Do not take a bath or shower until three days have passed since the appearance of the last blisters. However, do not forget about intimate hygiene (use special napkins).

Diazolin, which should be taken on a pill after eating in the morning and in the evening, causes desperate sleepiness, so do not be surprised that most of the first week of your illness you'll sleep. Diazoline will significantly ease the itching, which will help to sleep even better.

It will be a couple of weeks after the onset of the illness, and you will notice that the blisters will begin to descend, crumble and leave in their place small circles of pink skin, which is so sensitive to temperature. The disease departs, hurray! Do not in any way try to help the retreat of the disease - do not exfoliate the blisters yourself, otherwise the ugly scars will remain in their place.

It will be about a month after the disease, and only then the skin at the blistering spots will match the skin color throughout the body and there will be no trace of chickenpox (except memories). The bad will quickly be forgotten, and the funny appearance during the quarantine will still cause a smile for you and your loved ones for a long time!

A special case when a pregnant woman becomes ill with such a disease. It's not just chickenpox in adults, it's a real danger - for mother and her future baby. If you soon plan to supplement your family with a small heir, and have not had chickenpox in childhood - get vaccinated so you do not regret it later!

Be healthy and do not let the chickenpox pile you off your feet for long.
