Modest magic flowers: reseda

Some flowers are grown, for example, because of their magnificent aroma, and also as a melliferous plant. They are plain in appearance, small flowers are collected in the inflorescence, but despite this, most of the bouquets are made with the addition of this plant and this is due, again, to the magnificent aroma that it possesses.

Reproduction

About the plant

In nature there is an annual, biennial and perennial plant. All species are united, first of all, by the presence of very fragrant small flowers. When diluted, in most cases, one-year plant variety is used. In height, it reaches 30 centimeters, each of the stems is a pyramidal inflorescence.

Growth conditions

Lime-rich soils and open sunny places are ideal conditions for growing these flowers. Reseda will please the eye with the appearance of a large number of buds. Especially if the soil is sufficiently fertilized with humus and well moistened.

Application

In group plantings, these flowers are often used. Reseda, photos of which can be seen in this article, in combination with brightly flowering plants and in mixborders in the foreground gives the composition a special charm. Open ground is not the only variant of growing a plant, it is also possible to grow in containers and pots.

Pests

Often, the green part of the plant is damaged by caterpillars of the Butterfly butterfly, other pests are not interested in them.

Common varieties

As already mentioned, such flowers (reseda fragrant in particular) are quite common. The most popular varieties of this species are:

  • "Gabriel", having reddish inflorescences of a reddish shade;

  • "Goliath", featuring bright red flowers ;

  • "Ruby" with pinkish-copper dense inflorescences.

Of course, the cultivation of all plant species by flower growers is not practiced, only those species that enjoy any difference from the conventional species, for example, special coloring, are popular. This is due to the fact that they bred resiuda for decorative purposes - for decorating flower beds or bouquets. However, a wild resedu can be found in nature quite often, and it is very easy to find it - its location will be indicated by a magnificent aroma.
